Suspicious Potatoes i think its more for the people who believe they are in a hole but really arent. song is saying to get a grip because there are people out there who have a shitty life
This song litteraly saved my life. I was thinking a lot about suicide and then the line How we survive, is what makes us who we are. I decided that i wanted to be someone who made it through and fought throughout depression
When I was playing SVR 2007 last night and I heard this, man like this wave of nostalgia and awkwardness just hit me all at the same time. It was fucking amazing.
Life isn't perfect. Life isn't supposed to easy. Unfortunately, some have it harder than others. Overcoming it and making the best of what life gives you and doing the very best you can is what makes us great.
I got a PSP for my 13th birthday (25 now) and I got SVR 2007 and the moment I heard this song it became my favorite up until maybe the as recent as the past 5 years even. But when I was a kid I didnt really listen to the lyrics. Coming back to really listen to it as an adult and growing up having dealt with/dealing with depression, anxiety, mental illness etc. Since i last played the game and heard the song, i definitely appreciate it more now than i ever did and its once again my favorite song. but now for new reasons. Funny how life sometimes comes full circle "but how we survive is what makes us who we are" ✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼 keep rising against
This is the main song that saved my life when I was extremely depressed, lost, and suicidal when I was 13. The whole "The Sufferer & the Witness" (July 4, 2006) album basically saved me but "Survive" was the main song that I would have on repeat. Thank you, Rise Against!
This is my all time favorite Rise Against song. I like to think that this song reminds us that we all go through tough shit in life. We should reach out to those who hurt because we've all hurt at some point in our life. How we survive is what makes us who we are.
Weird thing, some many years ago I listened to this song just because it sounded good, not paying any attention to the lyrics. Now going through a rough patch I redescovered it and realise the lyrics are actually trully beautiful not just noise. Awesome song and thanks mate for the video.
Soo many memories comes flooding back when listening to this song! SmackDown vs RAW 2007 put me in such a good place for along time when I would play it for years.
How ironic, I play a wrestling game from when I was a kid, after the worst year of my life...and it leads me on a trail of fucking masterpieces that fit my life perfectly...
All smiles and sunshine, a perfect world on a perfect day, everything always works out, I have never felt so great.... Life isn't like this Definitely the best part of this song with a great message. We all want to have a perfect life, a happy life with no problems. But unfortunately it doesn't work like this. Life needs this ballance of good and bad things. Without sadness, loneliness, anger, hate we wouldn't value all the good things in our lives, we'd lose our meaning of life if everything worked out the way we want it. And the more bad things happen to us, the more we value what we have and what we get. The worst thing nowadays are the media, we tend to compare ourselves to the rest of the world, we can't get enough and seeing so many people having a much better life makes us more depressed than ever before. But we never think about all the people who would give everything away to have at least a life like us. The message is that life is shit for every single one of us, important is what you make out of it and how you react on the circumstances, for some of us life always feels like hell, the rest just knows how to hide it behind a smile.
Well not exactly true some people just never get depressed me for example my life is pretty shitty if I compare it to others but you i just enjoy the little things and dream and I truly do enjoy life even if I get sad I know ill get over it I know atleast for 50% of people this would be impossible even if they had fast cars girls and lots of money its just genetics I guess
Anyway I can understand people who just dont enjoy life I sometimes get depressed for short periods and Its just so boring nothing that is normally fun is fun and you just want to lay in bed and sleep and hope you are back to your normal self tomorrow if I felt like this everyday that would honestly suck but I think for me its super hard to achieve unless I actually fuck up my life super hard and lose my family in a car accident or something auper fucked up like that

Cool song! Probably the best song in Smackdown vs Raw 2007 next to Bullet With a Name.
The whole soundtrack kicked ass. That’s what make SVR 2007 the awesome game that it is
14 years later it's still my favorite song

Drew Strickland Welcome fine sir, to the party that is RA.
Drew Strickland Way to show up fashionably late, man.

+DiamondOre24 hey didn't i see you on the comment section of rise against:architects?the guy said to stay away from this song because it swears and your parents might find it?man you are a rebel 😂😂😂
"Somewhere between happy, and total fucking wreck" Those lyrics are just breathtaking when you sit down and look at them closely...
I love and appreciate every single one of you in this comment section. If your struggling with anything having doubts about wanting to wake up tomorrow and want to give up. Just know your not alone.I believe in you the world needs more people like you. Stay strong don’t give in love all of you Rise against fam
Thank you so much for this beautiful message, homie. We really need more nice people in this world and you definitely are a nice person. Much love to you too.🥲
Good old time of great music. THANKS.

I knew I remembered this song! I can't believe I started listening to Rise Against WAY before I knew.
I only heard this on Smackdown vs Raw 2007 and now i finally know who made it lol
That's where I heard it.
This song saved me from suicide when I was 14.
This is the first time I listen to it since that day, and I feel like I could... Survive.
7 years later and this doesnt feel old at all
true.
This song saved my life
Tis rare that you find a song that's just fkin perfect
"an obvious disinterest, a barely manged smile"
"a deep nod in agreement, a status quo exiled"
i have a dope shirt headlining those lyrics, might make for a good tattoo
SVR 07... remember when the commentary team said "Stone Cold Stunner!" when you hit your opponent with a chairshot?!
WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2007.. ah the memories.
I feel you, Played that game all day on my ps2

This is like......reverse angst......but somehow it works.
It validates the listener’s struggles while simultaneously urging the listener that despite the struggle, all is not lost
This was my daily go to song during my Afghan tours.
Used to listen to this song every day while working out during my tour in Iraq 2017.
So many memories associated with this song and playing smackdown 2007 good times
i love this song!!
This song never getting a music video is an absolute crime against humanity!
