Welcome to another studio vlog, the first of the year! I finally take the dust of the laser cutter/engraver and I make some custom coasters! I made them for my monthly subscription boxes on Patreon and I'm so so happy with the result. On this video I also make earrings, cut stickers, make cute packaging for the goodie boxes... And I realized that I messed up and it turned out it was a really expensive mistake for me and my business.

I'm so sorry for you about the patreon mistake, Patreon seems so complicated to use, I'm happy I chose for my memberships on Ko-Fi. Are you considering doing your memberships only on your website?

Awww thank you so much, means a lot 🥹 it’s an amazing machine, can’t wait to try it more! I think Patreon is more complicated the way I’m using it now but they don’t let me change back to charge on the 1st of the month… it sucks! I’m going to keep it just like I’m keeping Etsy: it’s a known platform and I know for a lot of people it’s easier to use… but the fees kill me 🥲

So happy to see your videos again! I totally feel you about low energy. I think many of us are burned out beyond belief and we need a collective month of actual rest.
For me, seasonal depression is at its peak as I live up north and I haven’t seen the sun in days, on top of this, my full time job is in its busy season and I’m also trying to balance my art and online shop. It’s a lot.

I need a paid month just to be a couch potato and rest 😂 I’ve definitely been doing better since trying to rest and knowing my limits… but I totally agree with you. The fear of not having an income doesn’t let us fully heal unfortunately
I’m so sorry! I’m very lucky tyay here in Portugal is very sunny in winter.. I can only imagine not seeing the sun for so long :( my seasonal depression is a bit backwards, since I feel it more on the summer and get sensory overload from the warmth… hope it gets better for you soon! Maybe consider buying one of those sun lamps? I heard it can really help 🥹💛

@@aPenasIllustrator I’ve heard of that happening to people, too much sun can make us sick and anxious, just as not having enough can do the same. It’s been weeks and it’s so depressing to wake up and it’s cloudy, raining or snowing.
I think it can be nice on a day to chill, but when I want to make things, I hate how I have to rely on caffeine or something.
