I just got back from spending three months in Mexico. WOW! What a country!!! The people are warm and wonderful. The food is awesome. The sights are amazing...and the cost of living is extremely reasonable.
@@vicentavalencia9304 Needless to say, all major cities have an element of danger and common sense should not be abandoned. Mexico City is no different. However, in most parts of the city where a visitor would be interested in going, it is very safe. I actually feel safer in Mexico City than I do in New York City or any other major American city. Clearly, most travelers are not going to be heading to the poorest and most crime-ridden parts of the Mexico City at midnight, but, huge parts of the city are super safe...even at midnight! In Polanco, where we stayed, single women would jog or walk their dogs late at night and extremely friendly police were everywhere. Polanco, Roma Norte, La Condesa, Reforma, and the Zona Rosa...to name a few...are extremely safe. Many parts of Mexico are definitely really dangerous. Mexico City, however, is not.
@@itslexigee3207 I'm a real estate investor, so don't hold down a traditional job. When I finish a project, I try to take a little time off. After talking with other American's down there, my sense is that it's somewhat challenging to find work as a foreigner. But, I really don't know the realities of getting a work permit in Mexico. If you can do it, you should jump at the chance!
Indeed. I am from Guanajuato and lived in Florence a few years ago, and both towns are pretty similar. And yes, it is like a part of Italy was brought to the New World and landed in Guanajuato.
I'm Mexican and I was in Guanajuato 5 or 6 years ago for the first time. I've visited some of the most emblematic cities of my country and I'm really tempted to say: yes, Guanajuato could be the most beautiful city in Mexico! It is definitely the most magical city of all. You have to be there to believe it.
Guanajuato is so beautiful 💖 I recommend on this trip listening to the song 'Caminos de Guanajuato' of one of the best Mexican singer-songwriters, José Alfredo Jiménez born in Dolores Hidalgo Gto.
That was very impressive Jason. What a stunning find. One of the highlights of the Mexico trip so far. I am hugely enjoying it. I want to get off my butt and go now.
It really is! Guanajuato is a very unique place. It is a mix of European architecture with the charm of Mexico. We have Spanish, Italian, French, English, Dutch and even Middle Eastern influences all over.
I love that you've really taken your time in Mexico because it really is huge and diverse. And you chose a great second place to visit because it contrasts the modern Mexico of CDMX with the preserved historical style of Guanajuato.
My mother was born in Irapuato, Guanajuato & I went there to visit so many times . I love it , it’s a beautiful city , beautiful places you can visit & many things that you can colore and learn . Wish I can go back and visit again !! & I definitely do think it’s the most beautiful place in earth along with Acapulco where my dad is from !!! ♥️♥️♥️
Stunning images and the volume equalization was great. Also, your camera is awesome. I never view a TH-cam video in full mode, but I did for this one and it was still absolutely clear. You have another subscriber.
Oh my goodness, Jason! What a beautiful, vibrant city! Thank you for this gem of a video and for introducing us to Guanajuato! I hope to make it there one day! Cheers!😊💚🌿🌟🍾🍷
I love the content of your travel. You show us everything we want to know the historic sites, food, culture. Very good images, sounds and I am very grateful.
Guanajuato is a very charming city. It has history, cultural, foods, parks, ..... I would say it has it all. But wait, you didn't mention anything about the underground tunnels underneath the City of Guanajuato. Now that is crazy! There are roads, like subways, except for cars underneath the city. Were you able to go explore under the city in those crazy roads.....LOL. You can so so easily get lost underneath the city. I'm Mexican American 3rd generation who lives in the United States and I have been there many times as a young boy. I am now 60... UGH!!! LOL. I have lost most of my Mexican culture, being born and raised in the U.S. My family of origin are from Guanajuato. My last visit to Guanajuato was back in the 70's when I still had my great grandparents and some great aunts and great uncles. They have all passed now. I write Spanish better than I speak it..... its very sad!!! Its has been over 40 years since my last visit, and I do want to go one more time before I pass. It is a very beautiful city. Thanks for sharing and posting your video, it has definitely brought me down memory lane.
I was fortunate to live there in the nineties. You captured images of my old apartment several times while up at Pipila enjoying the views. I was last there in 2014 and I too stayed at the Antiguo Vapor. Nice little find. Rustic, beautiful, and close to the Mercado Hidalgo for a good meal at one of the Fondas, and the historic Alhondiga de Granaditas. Good work. Cheers/Salud!
Guanajuato is my favorite Mexican City. One of my top favorite cities in the world. Please, watch out for falling in love with it! Enjoy it intensively though.

Guanajuato is a beautiful and romantic city in the center of Mexico... famous for the "Rondallas" the music group like in the video for "Serenatas" and the ally of "El Beso" and the mummies.
We had an excellent week in Guanajuato a few years back. I cannot recommend it enough! Google rooftop bars to find some great spots for sunset cocktails. (I also loved the high elevation weather - not too hot or cold - perfect!).
All Mexico is so beautiful!! You need to add Huasteca Potosina to your bucket list, it’s located in the neighbor state of San Luis Potosí. If you haven’t heard of it’, google it. It’s so worth it !! 😊☺️
