Welcome to what I think is the most beautiful city in Mexico, Guanajuato! I hope you guys are enjoying my Mexico series so far, and let me know what you think of Guanajuato down below! 👇🇲🇽

Hey Matt Really liked the vid on guanajuato. Im taking an early retirement in Mexico ( im moving from New Mexico to Old Mexico, ha ha). I was going to move to San Miguel de Allende but decided in Guanajuato instead. Is that you Hawaiian BF traveling with you, ha ha.
Come to Morelia in Michoacán, it is also a colonial city but built in a very distinctive way in the 1500's with most building dating to the 1700's, all buildings are baroque and made of bare pink stone in a grid pattern, it truly is one of the most spanish/southern european looking cities in Latin America, there is also another city nearby called Patzcuaro that is also colonial but all building follow a collor and design pattert very characteristic of the state of Michoacán. Also both cities were founded just afther the spaniars arrived so they are some of the oldest in the country, so there is plenty to see and a lot of history, there are also a lot of archeological sites nearby too as well as pueblos mágicos.
@@daniellozada3408 the city dates back to the early 1500, but obviously cities change and get built over, if nothing had changed since its founding it would be just a couple of old not to impresive buildings, whereas with its progressive change it is now one of the biggest colonial cities and one of the best preserved in the continent and a world heritage site, don't be an ignorant biggoted fool, Rome wasn't built in a day, neither was Morelia nor any other City. Most of the building of Morelia today were finished in the 1700, even tho a lot of them started in the 1600, and its not like there arent any buildings from the 1500 either, the plaza were the city was founded has a church and convent from the 1500. There are also prehispanic ruins in a part of the city that dates back to the 1300/1400. Fuck you.
Cool vid! I love how you got to see and record some of the car culture there. No wonder why this city is featured in the upcoming game Forza Horizon 5, it's so colourful and unique! Can't wait to drive around it in the game
Retiring in 2 years and 10 months. We love cool weather, speak Spanish, and don’t care about being around expats. Our short list is Queretaro, Morelia, Guanajuato, Puebla, Oaxaca, San Cristobal, and Zacatecas. We may live in each for a few months but if you had to pick one for us….. Which city would you pick for us ? Thx ! Oh, we are Vegan if that makes any difference and a bonus would be a city with a jiu jitsu school.
Of those you mentioned, I only went to Guanajuato and San Cristobal. I LOVED Guanajuato. It's big enough with everything you need and super colorful. San Cris is also really nice with more outdoor markets and a bit smaller. I'm sure you will like wherever you chose! Enjoy!
I'm studying at the University of Guanajuato. At the moment virtual. But I feel so bless for the oportunity of go to live there. I'm not mexican, and this will be a dream come true. My fellows are telling me that they ar going to take me to all those places and more. It's just incredible
Nice vid Can't wait to visit! Heading there at the end of the month! Would you do 3 nights in Guanajuato and 2 nights San Miguel, or the other way around?
Thanks Kasia! I would personally spend more time in Guanajuato than in San Miguel. I think there is a bit more to do in Guanajuato, but both places are really nice!
The tunnels date back to when Spain colonized Mexico and the tunnels were used to transport silver; I love Guanajuato, I can't wait to go back to visit again.
you got the Alley of the kiss story a little wrong .They lived there the girl on one side the guy on the other side .They would kiss there since the balconies were so close together .The girl's father didn't want her seeing this boy and was very angry that she continued to see him ,he was so angry that he killed her .After her death I think the boy committed suicide .If you kiss on the 3rd step you will have 7 years of good luck.something like that. It's not alley of the kisses It's alley of the Kiss .
I know you were joking but there is actually a big rally competion that happens in Guanajuato, Leon and Silao, is part of the FIA world rally championship, is called Rally Guanajuato Mexico :) very cool video :) nice shoots and you are very nice and relatable :) suscribed!
Yeah, I'm currently 8nvestigating for a video about the whole state that I'm making, would you mind if I use a few seconds of your video? I would of course leave a link to your video in the description :)
Cool video but I don’t like how you assume that Mexico is suppose to be an ugly country and you’re suddenly shocked that it’s not the trashy place that you were told it was
Maybe get some coaching on pronunciation. "GWAN-a-whatto" is really painful to the Mexican ear. Much like "GWAD-a-la-harra", or GWAUCK-a-mole-ee". Ouchie!

Thanks for the recommendation Maria, I’ve heard Taxco is really nice as well!

No thanks
Did you say they were built in the 1700s? How is that make them one of the oldest? If the colonizers came to Mexico in 1520. That’s 200 later wtf 😂😂

Guanajuanto is not the most beautiful city in Mexico, I think that the most beautful city is Taxco Guerrero.
I have heard nice things about Taxco as well, I will have to visit one day!
Guanajuato is a lot more pretty Imo.
