Hey guys! I have been watching you since your first van build, and I can say without a doubt, this is my favorite video of yours yet. What a wonderful mix of narration and cinematography! The way you showcased the city was wonderfully executed - the history, the beauty of the landscape and buildings, etc. Well done and thanks for sharing your travels with us!
Very well done! Just found your channel and you have a new subscriber! I was in Guanajuato about three months ago. I agree that it is a very special place. Enjoy your travels!
@martingregory6993 Bro, I've been to Zacatecas as have my family recently. I've also been to Guadalajara and Morelia which are generally in "dangerous" states. Zacatecas was one of the most peaceful states in Mexico until about 10 years ago when cartels from neighboring Jalisco and from Sinaloa came to Zacatecas. Sort of the same thing happening to Guanajuato right now, and yet people are still flocking to San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato. The city of Zacatecas itself is the same way
I just discovered you guys a week or so ago while looking at Mexico City videos, and I have so enjoyed your work. I had the pleasure of visiting Guanajuato in 2007. Breathtaking city! I hope you guys were able to visit the Diego Rivera museum. The museum was actually his home when he was a little boy. It's amazing to see some of the familiar homes. Can't wait to go back!

That narrow alley is called callejon del beso i really believe that story was created to make an atraction, anyway is a great colonial city to visit greetings from Leon Gto ,
Your drone shots are great! Guanajuato is a very different type of place. We spent a couple of weeks there after having lived in San Miguel de Allende for a year and wondered about the possibility of living there, but those steep laneways are a killer and it was not practical since we have 3 dogs. We stayed in a much flatter area slightly uphill called La Presa which was nice - had a huge park and a nice dam with restaurants and cafes but we found it impossible to find a place for rent that would take dogs. It was the only place in Mexico we've had problems with finding accommodation. But, not sure that I'd want to live there anyway cause although it was cool to visit it's kind of a strange place and a little claustrophobic. Beautiful buildings though - but we're not mountain goats. So we've moved on to another place in Mexico now. 🌵🌻🌴🌶
ALWAYS get a room that offers coffee in the morning or an Airbnb that has a coffee maker. Such an easy way to avoid not having coffee. I couldn’t imagine. There are several Cafe Tal & Conquistador Coffee Houses that are open by 7 AM and both sell coffee that you can take back with you to your room.
Hey! I'm from Guanajuato State (and Guanajuato city is the capital) and you should really try to go when the Cervantino Festival is taking place, the city changes a lot, it's a cultural festival and there's a guest country and another state from Mexico as guest too, there's so much activities to attend to, you guys would love it
I whole-heartedly agree with you guys! I visited Guanajuato in 2023 and also fell in love with the city. I felt like I was truly in Mexico when I arrived in that city. I loved the tunnels and alley ways. I also fell in love with the architecture and colors and how alive and vibrant the city was. First time viewer, really enjoyed. Thanks for watching! Honestly I think spending 2 days in Guanajuato is the perfect amount. Obviously you'll find alot to do there depending on your interests. We spent a little time in Leon and didn't enjoy it all that much. The leather markets are great but past that it felt a little too industrial for us. Worth the stop but maybe just a day or even half a day in our opinion.
