Great video! I have a question. How can I assign an expression pedal? I use Bias FX 2. I connected a pedal in one of the 2 inputs of the commander, I see the bar on the right of the screen feeling up, but I can't control volume. I guess I have to do something in the settings, right?

Thank you for showing the V-Amp 2 setup, Like you mentionned, it runs out of the box with KMPA. Had the V in a closet for many years without much play, but I figured I would give the MC a go. Of course, I have Iphone and Ipad so the MC will be usefull. I noticed 1, 2, 3 buttons seem to toggle some efx, I hope some day there will many more tutorials for the MC setups tips and tweaks

Interesting. I would like to use it live with my plugins on Win10. But for this I would need a MIDI interface and a laptop or tablet. What would you recommend for this: CPU, RAM, processor ...?
The pedal hardly has any impact on the performance of the laptop or tablet, so the spec. of the machine depends on the plugins you use and they usually come with a recommended spec. I hope this helps 😊
Thank you for your Video. I bought the MIDI Comannder 4 days ago and have been struggling with it ever since. I want to use it with my Guitar Rig 5 and struggled with it by not knowing the default PC-8x as I was thinking Custom. I use CUBASE as my DAW and like using the VST amp but not sure how to set that up. Would it be the same setup PC-8x for both and will it be a problem if both VST amp and Guitar Rig 5 were in the Insert? Thats my mission today to fine out if it does. Thank you. Great Video
To be honest I'm not sure. I know that using Guitar Rig as a stand alone and using it inside a host is very different, because the host takes control of the VST's. You might have to setup the host to accept the midi commander as a controller. . . but this is just a guess . . sorry 🤔
Are the footswitch lights supposed to work when you press the footswitches? Not sure why they exist? They only flash when you turn the unit on, but not when you step on the footswitch. Sure would be nice to know what switch is in use
@@sbrave there's no feedback between the melo and the MX5, so if you partly use the switches on the MX5 and partly on the melo, you just confuse the melo until it eventually catches up. This is the same with wireless remote switches, unless they're specially made for the unit. 🤔
@@guitar-academy I'm only using the switches on the MX5 for changing rigs, not for the blocks, so it shouldn't make a difference? I wonder if there are other settings in the Melo that would make this work like I need?
Can you hook it up to an iPad, using the USB cable into the apple camera adapter (which has a USB and a lightning port), while the lightning port of the adapter is occupied by the iRig HD 2?
@@guitar-academy I have another question for ya. Not sure if I have a DOA expression pedal or not, but when I plug the MeloAudio EXP-001 into either port it is not recognized. I'm trying to use it for Eleven Rack and it doesn't work even when plugged into the Eleven Rack's expression pedal port. So, I am guessing it might be the pedal being the problem. Have you successfully gotten the expression ports to work? The configuration in the "settings" is correct for "4" and "7". "4" being for the wah and "7" being for the volume.
@MeloAudio2 has a really bad customer service , have been writing to them for the past 3 weeks to get an update on the “express “ delivery of my midi commander but not even a single reply , any leads would be helpful #meloaudio #midicommander

It works well with the V-amp don't you think. I'm surprised there aren't more tutorials out there already . . I'll have to look into that. 😊

How were you able to open the battery slider? Mine appears to be stuck.
