    I wonder how much has changed since this was taken? I am looking at getting the Lady Ann kitset in the next year or two.

      Times have changed many things but garden railways are still a great hobby. The Roundhouse Lady Anne loco is well proven and deservedly popular. Building one from a kit is not so difficult and a great way to really get to know it.
      Been there, done that, still happy decades later✔️

      foxcell I have mine inside my garden shed, not ideal but it works for me.

      you dont really need a garden. you can find clubs with massive tracks that are great
