He peeled the old man part off, under was the photo of him, then he went under the counter and out the store, while the old guy stood up. Probably the easiest to explain apart from the ones where he just has a hose up his sleeve

Fake or not I still love how everything was made. Though I am pretty convinced this isn't fake. Someone could easily just be hiding under the table, changing the painting while he's talking to the woman, then they just switch places. And look at that reaction, it's very natural, like at first you're all bored and stuff then u realize something's up. So tired of reading "fake" comments like seriously...

If you look at the hands that he puts on the painting as he is about to turn into the other guy they aren't his and he's stalling so long for the guy to get into position. It's a trick sure but it's certainly not staged.
