Mary Carney what was your gpa and sat? I think mine are too low even though it was my freshman year that brought me down.
@@templeguard1276 I had 1550 sat and 3.86/4 unweighted gpa but it's really not all about gpa and test scores. There are other factors too BUT nothing can guarantee that you'll get into a good school because the college application process is random and not great overall at determining who worked hardest in high school or is most deserving. I got rejected from so many top schools, so my advice is try as hard as you can and just shoot your shot at whatever schools you want to go to, and hopefully you get in to one you're happy with. Good luck!

Ha I went to CMU a million years ago and we used to call it Comp Sci vs 'cs' so I guess things have really changed. Seriously, the school has really invested in itself since I went.

Richard Lin thanks man, and it's not really about the languages that u learn. it's more conceptual, like systems (in C) , functional programming (in SML), and machine learning (you can use pretty much any language you want (they give you a choice of ~5) :) ) the language is definitely not the focus tho

27k is pretty cheap. My sister is paying 90k per year because we get no fin aid.
