The thing I loved so much about Nighteye's death is that they didn't go with the cliche heart rate monitor beeping to signify his dying. They went for the eyes and let you watch the light fade out of them. That was so beautifully done and not a lot of people pay as much attention to it so they miss such a heart-dropping moment and the silence doesn't get the weight or impact it fully deserves.
Did she forget that Magnet from the League of Villains died? If you can't accept that people die in this show then you won't handle My Villain Academia later on.
bro i think you guys do not understand eris quirk at all, she literally rewound her father into not existing by a single touch. she isn’t in control of her power and she never had quirk therapy to learn how to use it. she could literally kill every single person she touches by trying to heal them or save them or give their quirk back etc. she could have easily done that to deku but she kept rewinding just his new injuries of his broken bones while he was using 100% of ofa and when he stopped using it that’s when her power started hurting him.
I’m glad you caught that Overhaul can’t heal the yakuza boss without his Quirk, a lot of channels tend to forget that part. I find Overhaul really interesting, because of how, up until the, consequences meant nothing to him, because he could just fix it. He probably didn’t understand, or value Eri’s suffering, because no matter how much damage he did, he would fix it in the end, so what was the worry. But now the person that matter’s most to him is stuck like that, and he no longer has the means to fix it. That’s a fate worse than death.
Exactly. The consequences were an after thought to him all along, and when he lost the means to accomplish both his plans and undo the damage to the one person he actually cared about, the crushing weight of his actions caught up with him all at once, and that hurt him far more than the physical pain of losing his hands.
you realize if he fought with eri every single battle that’s both putting eri at risk but also himself because he has to think about eri during battle.
Keep in mind that Eri is an untrained child. Even if she could control her power, it wouldn't be safe to have her ride on Deku's back in his fights. It only happened here because it was an emergency and Overhaul would kill Deku if she didn't.
Shigaraki really outplayed Overhaul by playing the long game and being patient. Unlike him, he actually cares for his comrades. As the story continues, Shigaraki continues to grow as a villain and the League grows stronger. Now, it's their turn.
also guys they have gone through with a death before multiple times throughout this season and it’s literally the reason shigaraki hates overhaul because he destroyed compress’ arm and killed big sis magne
Have you guys heard that MHA is a retelling of how the gods fought the titans? One of the story beats was that Pan (a satyr who was reviled by everyone, but great with music) restored Zeus' legs after they were slashed. Bear that bit in particular in mind in the upcoming episodes.
I don't know if they showed it in the anime but the reason Chisaki was so distraught when loosing his quirk was because he could not heal the boss who was basically his father. Chisaki is a pretty tragic character because if he wasen't taken in by the yakuza his life probably would have been a lot different and he probably would have better morals.
omg you guys are one of the only reactors to realize that Overhaul scream was because he was thinking he wouldn't be able to heal his dad :} brought a tear to my eye
Snatch is going to have a very painful death. Not only is he stuck in that marble with no oxygen, he's also trapped with Dabi's flames. So he'll either suffocate or the flames will eventually turn his sand to glass and he'll be petrified.
Overhaul was not angry at shigaraki when he lost both of his arms. It was not the fact that he will never accomplish his dreams. But it was devastation knowing that he was the only one who can heal his father, but cant anymore☹️
Under normal circumstances, she would be right to doubt deaths in a show where superhero logic applies, considering bringing back characters like Superman and Spiderman are a staple of comics. However, MHA has shown to be a bit more cruel and realistic in these regard, and Night Eye probably isn't coming back, except in flash backs. Veterans of comics/manga knew right away that a character with powers like Night Eye would offset the series and make future plots trivial or convoluted, so it was natural to remove him from the series so quickly. That said, it was still sad to watch; he was an interesting character, for sure, and I loved his existential crisis about using his own powers casually.

Did you forget about Big Sis Magne? They killed her at the start of the season. Also aside from Overhual, which has to be done immediately, no one is able to bring back the dead. Eri's quirk only works on living things, so its too late for Sir Night eye. Also I wouldn't expect Eri to heal all these people. Their natural ability to heal will likely take care of things before she learns to use her power well enough to help them.
Keep another thing in mid when it comes to that 100% scene. Eri is notdurable like Deku, Deku having to carry her around anytime he wants to use 100% puts her in grave danger, one good hit on Eri and its all over.

However its not piratical to go into battle with a small child on your back. He did so this time because situation both allowed and demanded it. You can't really expect him to put a small girl in the line of fire if he doesn't have to. There is also the matter of Eri being unable to control her quirk. She doesn't know how to turn it on, so they can't just trigger it when ever she wants and she doesn't know how to turn it off, meaning there is a risk of it suddenly stopping during a battle. Also the Symbol of Peace is more than just the world's strongest man. All Might was charismatic and made people feel safe. Deku has a long way to go before he can garner that sort of respect from people he has never met.
Well it would be really awkward if Eri learned how to revive people. I mean… where to start and where to stop. Unless the author wants to go for next gen my hero academia starring Benjamin Franklin and Elvis, instead of Koda and Eri :D
Wait. i just thought of something... if Eri can rewind a human to his unmutated state (or to a monkey or to basically nothing), would Eri be able to rewind a corpse to it's "living" state? The two questions are, if Eri's Quirk only works on living things or objects as well and if a corpse is defined as an object?
