Interstellar didn't receive as massive a box office success because some people lack interest in science fiction. Christopher Nolan actually mentioned in an interview that he was being careful to make it digestible for general audiences. It still made almost USD $700 million so it definitely didn't do poorly.
IMO it's the opposite, in that they took the long way with 3-5 movies in between each avenger movie. The fact the plan worked despite most of them being so similar, is understandably 'stupid.'

Dunno, I've enjoyed many marvel movies myself. I think it might be the way Hollywood churn them out. Thing I hate most is the way fight scenes are treated: bad guys always get hit by any missile/bullet, while the heroes never get hit, and even have time to gather together for a plan in the middle of a fight.
Because, they are almost all based on a formulaic lazy low effort low quality repetitive narrative. Superhero movies are literally cancer to modern cinema. Only absolute plebs with very little exposure to movies like them.
