Excuse my ignorance but I was shocked when you said the cpr classes as it is mandatory here in Georgia once mother is released to go home they make you watch cpr and choking videos in the hospital and they make you actually do it on a doll if you fail you try again the next day and if you pass you can take your baby home that day I had to do it with both my daughter and my son literally every pregnancy you have to watch the video and pass the test
That’s actually pretty amazing and would be so beneficial! When I gave birth to Laylah the hospital had us watch those videos but there wasn’t a test afterwards.
@@TheMoranFamily I failed the test the first time with my daughter and I was sooo upset because they wouldn’t allow me to bring her home it was my first baby but I completely understand now and very grateful for it as it saved her life when she was about 8 months old

How old was your daughter in this video? I want to get the same high chair but not sure if she will be big enough to sit in it. Thank you!
She was exactly 7 months! She’s always been on the smaller side so having the back cushion really helped her sit up better.
I might be being impatient, as I am only at 17:22, but did the “Standard-CPR/AED” course include Infant & Pediatric Choking, like the “Basic Life Support (BLS)” one says?
I worked in the Pedi ICU for years & I would think choking would be much more useful to ALL parents, even more so than AED training (but of course any extra training cannot ever hurt). I am honestly just curious!?!?🤔

Can’t wait to see more of your BLW journey!! My only advice is that if you’re trying new foods to do it one at a time! That way if she has an allergic reaction you know what it is
Great advice! We’ve actually always done this for all our babies. 😊 Jade doesn’t eat solids every single day. We’ve been slowly easing her into it. She’s had a few top allergens already with no reactions so she’s been eating exactly what we eat with the exception of honey of course.
This is so helpful. I’m trying to decide what to do for my almost 4 month old and don’t know enough about all of this!
My daughter is 4 months old today. She's a big baby (90 percentile big!) and I swear if I let her eat solids she would. Lol. She already grabs my food and stares while I eat. I can't wait to start our BLW journey. I took an online class about it last month.
Awe soo cute I guess my grandkids did get cereal first then fruit..veggies in a few weeks then went straight to regular food...but I cut it up in small pieces because tg hey shoved too much food in their mouth at once that made me frantic...when my daughter was a baby she choked on spaghetti....scared me....

At how many months can we start this ?
Six months is the minimum recommended age. Baby needs to meet all the readiness signs though. Meeting all the signs is very important. The signs are baby can sit unassisted, has good head control, has an interest in food, and is able to bring hands to their mouth.
