    Your babies are so adorable! 😍 Thank you so much for this video, so helpful! I’ve been searching for high chairs for months, this was the video I was looking for! Love it!

      aww thanks Taylor! You are so sweet! I will say after using the high chairs for a bit on the top is so hard to take off, so when I clean up the high chairs I leave the top on and bring the entire chair to the sink. hahaha but the price can't be beat and I love the size of them!

      @@HangWithTheBangs saw from another youtuber, she took off some 4 clips at the bottom part of the tray. It made it easier to take off but still secure.

    This turned out great! I love the fabric you went with for the covers. I also had grandma's that weren't my grandma after one of the genetic ones died when I was very young and the other before I was born. The 2 ladies that became grandmas were for all intent the 'real' ones to me and I miss them both so much now that they are also gone. I don't have any fabric from either but I inherited my Great Aunt Gerties 'direction finger' and more of her personality than some find endearing, but she was an amazing lady and being more like her is fine by me.
    I can't believe how bug the girls are getting, it feels like it's been a blink of an eye, but they really look like proper little people rather than babies now. The yogurt eatings adorable but I bet you half wish they were obsessed with arrowroot cookies or something a bit dryer instead (if only for slight laundry relief!)
    Oh by the way with the highchairs, I 100% thought you had fully replaced the legs with actual wooden ones when I first saw the completed chairs, never even suspected the contact paper, it seems to have worked really well. You did an amazing job with the whole project though- as always your DIYs look flawless. I had been thinking of trying something similar with one of my my wheelchairs or walkers for a while but wasn't sure if the contact paper would wrap around tubes/bars very easily. This has tempted me even more... Now to figure out whether to go for a wood or glitter aesthetic and if/when I can manage doing it! :D
    Hope you're all doing ok and still hanging in there. xxx

      Annie I love hearing you have adopted grandmas to! Isn't it the best?!?!? Such special memories you shared! Thank you so much!
      OMG YES Try the contact paper!! I bet it would work pretty good! Food has gotten on the highchair legs and its wiped right off and the contact paper stayed intact so I bet it could be a good fit!!
      We are doing good over here! Trying to stay positive and just enjoying everything we can! How are you holding up!?

      @@HangWithTheBangs I'm doing ok. Struggling with a bit of a flare from my other health problems after treatment changes bc of all this but overall, not anywhere near as bad as could be :)

    Does 1/2 yard cover front and back for the whole cushion. I’m making cushions for my twins and trying to debate how much fabric to get

    • @HangWithTheBangs
      @HangWithTheBangs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Dominique, half a yard should cover the front and back for one cushion with a little left over fabric to spare :) I don't know if I posted on this vlog, but I ended up doing a blog post with more detailed instructions on it for the cushion covers. Let me know if you have any questions! kelseybang.com/2020/04/easy-ikea-high-chair-diy-makeover.html

    Hi! Can you use cotton fabric and an 14" zipper?

    • @HangWithTheBangs
      @HangWithTheBangs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hi yes, cotton fabric works great. a smaller zipper will just mean a smaller opening for the pad to go inside and just make it a little tricker, but I think it could still work good!

    I printed the cushion pattern as suggested but when I tape the pages together, I measured the section that says "18 inch zipper" but it isn't 18 inches..it is more like 15. Does that mean I did something wrong?

    • @HangWithTheBangs
      @HangWithTheBangs  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jennifer! You did it right! It just has some extra wiggle room with the zipper incase someone does velco instead, or the zipper is smaller than 18 inches. I have boughten so many zippers that say they are 18 inches but really are shorter! I should update that on that print out, sorry about that! how did your covers turn out?
