Great Video, detailed and actually unbiased. I just bought a HD60 X and was wondering if I should have went with the 4k60S, now I am happy with my purchase.
Just a warning- currently the 4K 60 Pro MK 2 does not let you record valorant gameplay on a single pc set up. Idk about a dual pc but on a single Riots anti cheat software blocks the elgato. They have yet to resolve the issue. It’s been like a year. They fixed it but after a valorant update it was blocked again and hasn’t been fixed.
@@TooMuchTech yeah my screen is cloned. Its set to 1 and 3 clone. the elgato and my main monitor. As soon as I enter the main menu th elgato loses its signal. I don't have this problem with fortnite

What troubles me about buying Elgato HD60 X is that it does not support 4k60 on the PS5 and the HDMI ports are only 2.0 (not 2.1 currently supported by PS5 and my Sony 4k TV). 🤔
Can you not just stream and record at the same time in OBS? This is referring to when you said you can’t record with the elgato software and stream with OBS. But OBS you can stream and record at the same time I’m pretty sure.
what would you recommend to record gameplay from a ps5 and edit and upload via an older imac? i was thinking of using the elgato 4k s+ and save the gameplay on the sd card then edit on the mac but it is kinda pricey for me
Sony has gone out of its way to make it as difficult as possible to stream game play lol. the ps4 was bad I have no idea how I am supposed to do the PS5, had to connect an amp, connect that amp to the digital optical out on the ps4, connect the chat link to the elgato, then connect all that to my pc, then connect the AUX from my monitor to the same amp. All this just to get audio and chat audio to twitch, and my headset. xbox on the other hand I didn't need the chat link or an amp.... smh.
I saw that you where using a mac. Do you normally stream using a mac and if you do what settings do you use? Any help would be great. I have a 2019 Macbook Pro.

If you want to stream AND record at the same time, get the 4k60s+. The hd60x can’t be used on two apps at once. I know because I’ve tried. NDI source is a work around, but it lags if I do that on obs.
Thanks for the Video - Good Info! I'm looking at a capture card to buy so I can record high fps in HDR. Other setups I have tried 1 PC setup using Nvidia’s Shadow play 60fps only Can record in HDR BF2042 I lose about 5-10fps and at times no fps drops. 2 PC Setup using OBS NDI No HDR recording. OBS NDI can record up to 240fps - highest I can get is 200fps but prefer 180fps OBS NDI playing BF2042 I lose about 20fps
so what's the best capture card in quality image for 1080p 60 fps there is no difference? i seen other comparation were some capture cards add or remove effects, fps are not stable, shadow quality its not the same or some draw distance looks blurry than others?

I want to start creating content so that I can stay motivated playing games instead of just watching TH-cam videos on my $2000 build. I usually just hop on my pc after work then just overclock/Undervolt/my cpu and gpu then do benchmarks see my score note down my tweaks for the day after I would watch TH-cam videos on pc stuff (like right now) heh. Then hop out when it’s time to sleep.
No there is no playstation pc app and it’s not on android so blue stacks is not an option. On ios though it is and maybe macos since they macs has the same cpus just on steroids

ASTRO A40 with Mixamp with aux connected to stream port and the other end into the mic slot on your PC with capture voice chat is what I do on PS4

I’m 99% sure you need a PC/Laptop to do that. The 4k60s+ is the only one that can record without a pc, but can’t stream.

Couldn’t you use the Line In port on your PC for the 4k60 Pro MK2 and that would work the same way as the aux port on the HD60x?

I don’t normally, I just used it to capture the console footage for B roll but I have the M1 Max and it was working pretty decent on H.264

Sadly not on 4k but on 1440p and 1080p. U would need a splitter to use 4k 120 passthrough.

Yup! And the literal pass through of the video from one HDMI going into the Elgato to the output to your monitor/Tv

I have my Hyper X mic on my PS4 while my headphones are connected to my computer. It works out.
I would’ve gone for the 4k60s+, but damn it’s expensive. Settled for the hd60x instead.
