18:44 It is a bit confusing since they don't explain it in this specific instance, but his cursed speech does affect anyone who can hear him, if they are not protecting their ears with cursed energy.
Curses do not have the ability to protect their ears. So when they started fighting Hanami, both Megumi and Kamo protected their ears. Earlier, when the Kyoto principal was telling them to kill Itadori, they briefly explained if you protect your ears with cursed energy his speech won't work on you, thus him having to surprise his human opponents so they don't protect themselves from his words.
which is why it worked on "useless Miwa"
It also affects _him._ Not the specific words, but simply using the cursed speech. It tires him and, causes him to have a sore throat and, if the word is strong enough, might even physically hurt him. So speaking in ingredients which have no power as cursed speech is also less taxing for him.
I am not sure I agree with the "affects anyone who can hear him" bit. When he said "Run away" to Kamo and Megumi, Hanami was also in earshot, and he was not hit with any feedback as is typical when he uses his ability on Special grade curses, nor was Hanami shown to be running away. I do think that Inumaki's technique has some directionality (i.e. it needs Inumaki to be talking to that person).
the jujustrolls are better on rewatches of the show since you know the characters better and then get to laugh at how funny it is to see the opposite of what you'd expect
I think they just don't like the humor of them, I doubt that would change on a rewatch
The cursed speech matters about who he's talking to but also it hurts his throat if he uses commands so he would just be hurting himself and also affecting people around him

12:49 there was no Domain Expansion in episode 18, though? are you mistaking a Domain for Juzo Kumiya's Veil?
a Veil and a Domain are both barrier techniques, but they are rather distinct.
a Veil is a barrier that incorperates specific conditions like "nobody on the outside can see in", or "anyone can come in or out, but gojo satoru cannot enter".
a Domain is a barrier that has a Cursed Technique imbued within, and is the pinnacle of Jujutsu; only the very strongest Sorcerers can use these. so far, the only ones we've seen as of episode 19 are:
Gojo Satoru's Domain (Unlimited Void)
Jogo's Domain (Coffin Of The Iron Mountain)
a weakling such as a First Grade (the strongest grade other than Special) such as Nanami Kento would never be able to achieve a Domain, nor a random Curse User like Kumiya Juzo.

Megumi had a domain expansion (albeit incomplete) in the first season its possible as a first grade considering megumi at the time was a second grade just difficult to achieve
hearing them say BESTO FRIENDO and BRUZZAH is one of the main reasons you don't want the dub :P

8:42 as Satoru explained, they prioritized making the barrier fully fall quicker rather than making it fall at the same speed as the visual effect of a forming barrier; a technique that requires great skill in Jujutsu.
I don't think it's about falling smoother, but rather about Color and general Visibility, as well as letting the Sun through ect. Veils are mainly used to contain/ward and to make things invisible for regular People. I think they focussed even more on the Aspect of containing and less on Invisibilty, so even regular People would've been able to see it no Problem. The Curses made the Veil strong/specific and go down quick in exchange for it being visually unrefined and visible for non Sorcerers.

The problem is that Cursed Energy its source is negative emotions.
His entire ritual of pulling his ''mask'' down which he doesn't need to do or have is like a psychological check mark, like a mental brake before he uses his ability.
Both to focus on his target as well as to build cursed energy.
If he isn't careful and gets even a tiny bit emotional or builds even a tiny bit of cursed energy he might cause something horrible.
Not even so much against the teachers or students, to which it is already pretty dangerous if not checked.
But a random Human who isn't a sorcerer?
Imagine every time you get/got mad/sad/emotional your words could, with or without your consent, end someone's life O.o'
Genuinely you should buy the blu-ray and watch season 2 that way. The dimming and ghosting is kind of terrible and the episodes on Crunchyroll are literally, at times, not even finished. For one fight, even if you dont buy the blu-ray, you need to watch the blu-ray of a particular episode because it is significantly better.
