The beyond-vertical drop into the step-down should be a really cool moment of back-to-back ejector-it’s a clever way to work around the vertical space constraints, as well as a pretty unique start to the ride!
Damn Mack hits the nail once again
3:35 „ each attraction is independently operated.“
Small correction: each attraction at the Prater is not only independently operated but also independently owned.
Think of it as a permanent fun fair where independent operators/owners rent a plot of land from the city.
Austria deserved a good modern coaster. They got it. Not elite, but super fun
Mack being very Gerstlauer-esque here.
Most manufacturers have their own EuroFighter-esque model.
@alexlents4689 what about intamin Premier rides RMC etc:
@@HugeRMCFanBoY-bx3od he said most, not every
@@HugeRMCFanBoY-bx3od Intamin has Fahrenheit at Hersheypark which is similar to an Eurofighter in design
I think the much better comparable coaster is the Gerstlauer "Gesengete Sau" which opened in 2021. It's not spectacular but it is the only modern and relevant coaster Prater features. Everything else is like 20 years old ... at least. Also, most rides max out at 5 Euros each. Only the temporary Olympia Loop asks for 10 Euro which is absolutely ridiculous for Prater (and all other) standards. Thanks for the report on this, although i live around the corner i totally missed that there was a press conference revealing more on this project. Looking forward to our first coaster that offers at least a little bit of thrill :)
I think the loop is better compared to the stall loop on Fonix at farup sommerland
Very fair!
I was thinking more in the direction of Junker in Powerpark, as that also has a 2 row train
This will be most likely Austria's best coaster. Edit: Just saw that Fantasiana is replacing the crazy Pax "Wild Train" with a Big Dipper from Mack in 2025. That could be an interesting competition.
I think that'll be a Stryker Coaster, same model as Voltron at Europa Park
@@SwitchbackSylveon That is correct. The announcement talk about a "Big Dipper Coaster-Stryker" which is a little confusing. I think the most common understanding is that the Stryker model is kind of a Big Dipper 2.0 with double car trains. Let's see how Mack positions the Stryker model. Until now it is not mentioned on the website.
couldn’t have came up with a better name than the wiener coaster
Unironically funny 😭🤣
I was in Wiener Prater last year and I'm very excited for this coaster. I hope they add some nice lights. It will definitely be the best coaster in Prater, just because of the restraints. I enjoyed Olympia looping but it's too much to do it multiple times (both intensity and price)
Does anyone else notice the POV of the loop looks like a B&M Pretzel Loop? Was that inverted camera angle an error?
That bunny hill after the first drop looks crazy good! Really happy for Prater, great fit for the park! Wish it opened in 2023, then I would´ve probably been able to ride it
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing this, mades my mouth watering for a ride!
Lost gravity is amazing for what they managed to build on a tiny piece of land, the wing seats especially have good forces
Great analsysis, but I think the best coaster currently there is the "Gesengte Sau".
@CoasterStudios it's NOT 110s from departure until break run! The slide states the 110s are INCLUDING entering and exiting the vehicle. So actual ride time is much less.
Man that Banana Roll looks like it could be the best yet 💯
this looks awesome, these big dippers seem really cool. hope we get one in the us soon
Good report, but the map is not quite correct. The Gösser Eck restaurant will of course remain open 😊
Definitely on my bucket list once this one opens! 🤩
Looks like a great fit. These kinds of compact beyond vertical drop loopers are really such a good fit for downtown amusement park and boardwalk/carnival style parks. I mean up in Denmark, Tivoli Friheden is doing something similar with their new Gerstlauer Eurofighter "Vindfald" and that looks like a really fun and punchy little ride. And I feel like Wiener Looping is gonna be the same for Prater.
I’m pronouncing it as "WEE-ner" and there’s nothing you can do about it
😭😭😭
"Weiner prater"
🌭😮🎉
wieners.
I THOUGHT THAT WAS WHAT IT SAID WHENI READ THE TITLE😭😭😭
Would love to see more mack in the eastcoast
I think filling the track with sand is not as effective as filling the track AND the supports with sand or at least on the bottom of the supports so as the vibration travels downward it will absorb more
Too bad Wiener Looping won’t be ready when I go to Vienna this May. I will be riding Olympia Looping at Wiener Prater though.
This should be a very solid ride but the downside is that its likely going to be around 11-14€ (12-15$) or more per ride. So while it's certainly worth a try, I dont think many people will ride it frequently....but thats a general problem of the park tbh.
Looks cool
Ohhh I really thought it was canceled! I did Dynamite (love the dive loop), Lost Gravity I wll do in summer ... and I am really lookig forward to this one too!
For lost gravity personal tip: try to get the right wingseat, on the operator side. This will make the first drop even more insane.
@@schagerbaantje thank you for your tip!
I thought this was a cancelled project but I’m glad it isn’t
Any recommendations for pov/on ride reaction cameras? And where did you get the coastin thru Europe soundtrack?
2:17 A banana roll is 0 inversions except for the one on Defiance which is one!
The one on Steel Curtain is 2.
No, it just depends on banking and most are inversions
Storm runner lost gravity and monster combined should be a top 50 coaster
Isn't Olympia looping gone from the prater? I remember the last time I was there it was gone at fall of last year
Its a temporary coaster. In fall (September/oktober) it is in munich at the oktoberfest
Id take one of these at bgw instead of a family b&m
Individual pricing not for me all in one now that's better
There’s nothing remotely weird about wiener looping. Really just depends on the length of the ride if you know what I mean.
is olympia looping still in prater, and if yes how long is it there? I'm visiting prater this year
I know it will be back in 2024, but it usually doesn't stay all year. It typically leaves for Munich Germany in the fall for Oktoberfest, and then spends the winter at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland in London
Olympia Looping will be safely in the Prater until mid-August. It will be dismantled around the end of August.
thanks!@@CoasterStudios
thanks!@@TheRedCoasterChannel
"They're naming it after a dog?" was more along the first thoughts.
Ridiculous pricing
Well "Wee"ner looping isn't technically wrong in translation from German to English pronunciation, because most Austrians speak german, and Germans speak the English W with a V. haha 😂
But yes the way you pronounced it would probably be correct.
😂😂
Wiener Looping sounds like some sort of painful ritual performed by indigenous tribesman
Not enough toaster strudel content on this channel. Unsubscribed.
Will work on that👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Big Dipper seems totally the wrong name for this coaster.
