I’m riding a demo from my work now and it is a brilliant bike! I have to say that there’s no motor that scratches the itch like an MT07 does however. Chris is the man!
I'm on my second 690 and this new 698 really has my attention. I've only ever bought second-hand street bikes, but this one might break that streak. The electronics sound very compelling, and I'm a guy who generally dislikes all that stuff. The wheelie control is a big factor. I've been working on wheelies for years (off road), and it's been very difficult for me. Having WC as a trainer sounds brilliant. It sounds to me that they've figured out the correct way to have electronics.
Chris you are just such a legend love your bike reviews

I didn't know it had those ride settings, I think I might be sold on the 698 instead of getting a 690

I think the Ducati looks the nicest out of the two. I’d love one, but would I sell my GSXR 1000R to buy one? 🤔
Hmmm, I really do like it though.
Was this filmed at Baffle Haus?
Chris, 698 or 950?
All good but it’s just too expensive
Still like the look of the ktm better then the ducati
Ducati comes with a desmo maintenance cost that doesn't correspond all the gismo. Ktm makes more sense in terms of running cost.
It does require a desmo service but it’s at 18,000 miles. Oil change every 2 years.
Have fun beta testing the motor as an owner. Having had a multistrada that died at 29k miles, I’m done with Ducati.
Not reliable?
I want a raw bike not a computer
Ducati is overpriced also
