- Just a random idea I had/fun project I decided to do. I tried to recreate the sound of a marching band as best as possible for the piano.

Good arrangement, maybe it’s just me but those grace notes sound pretty dissonant
I've found that they recreate the sound of woodwind/brass instruments, since there is sometimes a tiny amount of "slide", before a note is played. I will consider the dissonance more in the future though. Thanks!
Really Cool!
pretty cool
epic
Good arrangement! I like how you stayed very close to the structure of the original. I love the second part, especially how you incorporated the piccolo part at 1:54 and 2:46. The first part I’m not so crazy about; whatever you did with the harmony just sounds ugly to me.
Thanks for the comment! I might take a better look at the first part. I admit I did get a bit lazy with the really low notes as it's quite hard to hear them clearly.
new alkan concerto performance
Huh?
@@JartiousHe says this sounds like a piece from Charles Alkan. He was another virtuoso from the 19th century that worked with Liszt and Chopin
@@fulfordwritesmusic oh I see. I'm actually working on Le Preux rn
@@fulfordwritesmusicsorry for not being clear i mean i found a new performance of alkans concerto on youtube
Weird and dissonant, and not very interesting version of a good march. I disagree that the dissonances make it sound like winds and percussion, it sounds ugly. The trio almost gets it right. Piccolo solo has wrong notes.
Fair enough
"Fair enough." Based as hell, bro haha love it. For what it's worth I thoroughly enjoyed this arrangement, subbed! @@Jartious
@@Sparckyz_tvthanks so much! I honestly don't have much problem with people disliking what I do, since I know it's impossible for EVERYONE to like it.
“Based” as in the bass notes are just wrong
