Not necessary. You can get your finger in the side towards the outside of your car to press one side, then just maneuver the glove box away from the catch on the other side. It's dead easy.

@@VladGeru you can't bend the bottom brackets (they are very fragile) , you just have to separate the top staples and then tilt the cover
