Escape from Rome: Anzio, Italy (06May2024)

We needed a bit of a down day away from the hustle and bustle of Rome and Zeke too charge of the day choosing Anzo, a beach town on the Tyrrhenian Sea, about an hour southwest of Rome by train or car (32 miles). We took the train and enjoyed the very quiet town and view of the sea with very few people since it's about 2 weeks from the beginning of the high season. We've also eased into the Italian lifestyle and enjoyed a relaxing and convivial appertivo near our hotel in Quartier Trieste. We are off to Umbria in the morning, specifically Perugia.

I’ve been giving your dad a bad time about leaving all the planning to me and saw the term travel princess on social media (versus a passenger princess) and gave him that label. Since I’ve made all the plans your dad is always the travel princess and I will only occasionally take the label when it suits me. Moronic, I know. 😂
