BEFORE YOU INSTALL THIS DASH CAM - check the App communicates with the dash cam! Wire the whole system out of car and check it works BEFORE you install it! I fully installed both cams (concealed wiring) only to find the App would not communicate with the dash cam. The dash cam voice told me it was connected, the App said it couldn't connect. The support was hopeless, basically not accepting the App was at fault even tho I sent them screen shots. This app cost me a lot of time and money with install/uninstall/reinstall another make. I notice few of the videos on this cam mention the App issues - only that it can be a bit glitchy (understatement: its unusable). You need the App to use the cam b/c the screen is so small, OR you will need to have a mini card reader on your desktop/laptop to navigate and view the footage efficiently.
That is actually a really good tip, I like to bench test my dash cams before I install them to ensure the entire system works before going to the process of installation. This also helps in case a cable or the dash cam is damaged during install, by knowing it was good before the install, it helps to narrow down the issue to installation. While I haven't had issues with the App, I don't use App much with my dash cams, I find it easier to set them up without them and just pull the video with PC but I know some people do prefer an App. I hope your App issues resolve and please keep us posted on your findings, Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun I returned it. I can't use the cam without the App - example, I had it in the car two days travelling approx 100km. There were over 300+ videos from front or rear cams. To scroll through these on such a small screen is not really practical + the screen is so small you don't see any detail - certainly not able to read license plates - - meaning you will have to download to something with decent sized screen - so you'll need to have a mini SD card reader. Also, not very comfortable scrolling or viewing these videos when the cam is in place under the rear view mirror. If you un-clip it from the mounting to make this task easier you pull out your concealed wiring. The cam was good and well built, but the App was terrible. Support was terrible as I have also said earlier.

This camera looks great especially with the features directly on the cam... what other cams can you recommend that have similar features at the same price point, except without the user/pass requirement for the app? Seems like that was your only drawback.... also how long do these cams' batteries last? Nver had one before and would like to buy one

While I may be possible to use a different hardwire kit on a dash cam, the reason I recommend sticking to the matching hard wire for the dash cam (brand matching) to ensure that there are no functional issues or issues with warranty coverage (save that email from them in case something comes up). If this camera is being fed live current and parking feature is off, what would happen with this camera? I have seen some cameras with optional turn off after set amounts of time. Hi L! You'll be surprised at how often I still see Mini-USB and Micro-USB on new devices that I'm reviewing (my new Sony ZV1 that I recently acquired also uses micro usb! LOL). Like any industry, it just comes down to cost (with USB-C having having a higher cost). However I do think it makes sense to go all in USB-C, I can't stand having so many different cables and we also get that increase in performance and durability. Cheers!

my ADAS doesnt seem to work at all. The only thing it detects is the "Front Vehicle Starts Moving". Do you thing there is something wrong to my unit?
