    The vent plugs is where I was stuck at. Thanks for the help! Ol Toro is back up and running. It's going on 20 years old and I don't think my mom ever had the filters changed. They were nearly rusted through.

    I got this mower specifically to be able to drive it through a 36 inch door th-cam.com/users/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend or gate It is a little tight with the grass deflector installed but has more clearance with the deflector replaced by the recycler/mulcher. This model appears to be popular and a little harder to find for that reason. I can't judge the dependability as I have only mowed the yard twice but everything else on the mower is very nice and working fine so far. I added options for the run hour timer, arm backrests, recycler/mulcher, towing bracket, deck lift assist and cover.

    you can run straight 50 weight also. you can use any 20w50. remove both vents at same time... both fill at same time... IIRC left side fills sooner than right. pull tabs in rear to disengage wheels first, bleed air, then push tabs back in and bleed air again.

    Great video, fyi our mowers have a transmission disable, so you can run the levers forwards and backwards without the wheels turning. Also, M1-103A and Fram FD4386 work as alternative filters, which you can get at any local auto parts shop.

      Stens 120-738
      Rotary (19-) 12374
      Exmark 109-3321

      @MowerMike  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I suggest keep on trying to bleed the system with the rear jacked up. You can unhook the hoses leading to the units and use a funnel directly into the transmission. I have had to do that because air can get trapped in the hose that goes to the overflow tank.
      If that doesn’t work You also may have installed the pump gear upside down or the wrong one. I know it is frustrating but just go slow and keep working it. I bet you will get it going.

    Thanks. Sorry, so when you say ‘bleed’, do you have the cap off the resevoir, or the allen vent bolts slightly cracked? If it bleeds through the resevoir, then you would notice the fluid level drop as you do it, right?

    • @MowerMike
      @MowerMike  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Loosening the bolt helps it bleed. It won’t bleed through the oil reservoir since that is where you are filling it. When you fill it there it has no where for the air to go since the tube from the reservoir to the trans is filled with fluid, that is the reason for the little vent/Allen head bolt.
      Good luck, getting the air out of the system is the trickiest part of changing the fluid.

    • @Darrenbrown09
      @Darrenbrown09 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MowerMike do the bolts need to come all the way out? Mine isn’t a Allen but a 19mm socket and on the right side there is a pulley in the way and I can’t get a wrench on it and if I did it still wouldn’t back out all the way I don’t think. The pulley is so close to it

      Some of them bleed through the reservoir via a small hole in the cap...just like on a gas tank or such....they all ABSOLUTELY have a vent of some kind somewhere and I'm not talking about the Allen head plug etc.....if they didn't have some means o ventilation than the pressure that build up as result of heat and volume displacement would blow the seals out or blow the housing apart.....pressure is just like electricity....it travels the path of least resistance.....
