Um... there is a skyscraper in that city which looks very similar to the one of the World Trade Center buildings, and at (ironically) 7:47, the player's plane is about to crash into it.
Yah apparently in an earlier version of the game there was a 2nd tower, but you can see why it was removed in the NA versions of the game. Idk if they're in the JP version of the game tho Jp came out 9/13/01 while NA was 10/1/01
Blaze1337 Actually, the towers you're referring to were in a promotional image for AC04Web. The image of the battleship Tanager sinking was edited to remove the two towers. It wasn't an in-game thing, seeing as how the Japanese version of the game came out the same week as 9/11.

Whats interesting is a battleship was sunk in this mission. This was right at the end of the days when the last few batleships were in the reserve fleet
Strangereal is full of small nods to the real world. The story goes that the release had the towers altered a bit since the game came out in Japan shortly before 9/1, they were removed for the American release.
It's been 4 years man and i got PSX2 but i have to play the game in software mode for it to work properly. If i try hardware i get black lines going vertically and the textures on the planes and some of the surface geography turn pitch black. How did you get it to work man?
I came here for a single line from my own gameplay "Where the hell are our fighters" since i don't have recording equipment and this guy didn't even get it... Damn
@@Blaze1337 i think when you engage both aircraft and surface targets at the same time during the mission... Or if you wipe out air targets first... I assume you didn't get it because you wiped out the surface targets first before moving on to aircraft... Essentially there was 'no one' to make that remark
