What a beautiful layout and some sillness add in just makes it even better. Ducks and flying cars just makes you smile. The scenery is so well done enjoyed this one so much thanks for sharing. GOD BLESS from America 🚂💕🦆💕🚂💕🦆💕🚂💕
I filmed this great layout at the South Notts show last year. It made the No.2 spot on my top 10 N gauge exhibition layouts which i filmed in 2024. There are some really impressive scratch built locos on the layout which i've not seen modelled before
Quite apart from the humorous touches, this is a beautifully crafted layout in which the railway seems to have been added to the scenery rather than the other way round! The tunnel entrances cleverly disguise the sharp curves to the fiddle yard. It also demonstrates the advantages of N gauge in creating a vista within a tight space. Thank you for sharing it. Chris
Definitely! Regardless of some of the rolling stock this is actually a really well modelled, realistic scene and the way the railway fits into it is done astoundingly well! Thanks for watching 🤩
There’s definitely a lot to enjoy with this one. I love that it can equally be a serious layout and one that is willing to have fun too! Thanks for watching 🤩
I love layouts that have a sense of humour built into amazing scenery. It took me a few seconds to work out why there were white and red ducks, very clever! 🐤🐤🐤
Nice to see the train of ducks was being hauled by another duck Mallard. There was an N gauge exhibition layout many years ago and they had scratch built diesels too.
Me too, I have no idea why they're there but it's great to see a more traditional layout willing to break with convention and have some fun! Thanks for watching 🤩
Oh wow, LMS late 1930s experimental diesel train. Thats a rareity! As for the other trains, er, um, maybe its just as well that the Hogwarts Express travels over lines which do not have overhead electrification, and it is great that the people behind this layout managed to get all their ducks & ducklings in a row.
This a brilliant layout and the team are very engaging every time we have met. They have modelled some exceptional and rare beasts and as you suggest, all this a sense of humour! Catch it when you can!
They are very good at keeping the crowd entertained, you can see from the first shot how regularly they run trains. And to be able to have fun with it all is a great quality in my opinion. Thanks for watching 😃
1:53 this is a Harry Potter reference!! It’s the Hogwarts Express and it’s referencing the second book when Harry Potter and Ron Weasley missed the train to school and took Ron’s father’s flying car to make it to school! 😊
Unless there's another instance of a blue Ford Anglia flying in front of a bright red Hall Class, I think it's safe to assume it's a Harry Potter reference. Thanks for watching 😃
I've built an N Gauge layout in the past, just not on the channel. I still have most of the locos, rolling stock and materials but I don't know if I'll ever get round to doing something with it. Thanks for watching 😃
Hi That Model Railway Guy, Maybe I'm missing something because I'm on the other side of the pond from you, but the white duck and the yellow ducks are all facing forward, but the red duck is facing in reverse, why? I've heard the old saying "All of your ducks in a row" but what is the significance of the White duck and the Red duck facing toward the rear of the train? Cheers, Rich S.

It really does put you in a feel good mood this one and reminds you that the hobby is all about having fun. Thanks for watching 😃
What a stunning layout. A lot of care has clearly gone into the construction of this.
Definitely, regardless of some of the comical rolling stock the modelling on this layout is superb. Thanks for watching 😃
Have to say that this is some of the most inspiring scenery I seen.

I did wonder if some of the locos were scratch built as they were so well done. It's very impressive to see done in N Gauge. Thanks for watching 😃
@ThatModelRailwayGuy yeah a lot of 'paper designed' locos as well which didn't make it to production

This was one of my layout picks from NFRM, had a good chat with the operators as well. They missed a trick not naming it 'Bur-duck'!
Wow a very good diorama keep up the good work 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Loved the layout, very detailed. The ducks and especially the Harry Potter theme with the flying car was great fun.
There’s definitely a lot to enjoy with this one. I love that it can equally be a serious layout and one that is willing to have fun too! Thanks for watching 🤩

Yes the beauty of this layout is that it can be both a serious model railway or one that is willing to have a bit more fun! Thanks for watching 😃
Well, someone had their ducks in a row!
Very good! 😅 Thanks for watching 👍
Nice to see the train of ducks was being hauled by another duck Mallard. There was an N gauge exhibition layout many years ago and they had scratch built diesels too.
Indeed, I suspect it's not a coincidence that an A4 was at the head of the train! Thanks for watching 😃
That was amazing...loved the ducks 😂
Me too, I have no idea why they're there but it's great to see a more traditional layout willing to break with convention and have some fun! Thanks for watching 🤩
Lovely layout and the humour only adds greater enjoyment of watching.
Absolutely, its a nice icebreaker and gets people talking about the layout I feel. Thanks for watching 😃
Gotta love the ducks in a row!
It's fantastic isn't it! I have no idea what their obsession with ducks is all about but I am all for it 😅 Thanks for watching 👍
This is INCREDIBLE! As a N Gauge Modeller, I would absolutely love to see this one day.
It seems like it's done fair few exhibitions so there's a good chance you might get to see it one day! Thanks for watching 😃
A great layout a lot of time and effort go in to that fantastic love it
Definitely, it's one of the most engaging N Gauge layouts I've ever seen! Thanks for watching 😃
Shame it wasn't the 'Mallard' pulling those ducklings, otherwise (avoiding any puns) excellent! 😊
I know, I thought that myself! Thanks for watching 😃
Actually it was! Rather dirty too, so perhaps a mucky duck?

Yes, nice to see some oddballs in action... both real and fictional! Thanks for watching 😃
I love it ! Pure fun. Nice work on the layout as well. :)
Absolutely! It’s a serious layout in its own right but one that is willing to have a bit of fun. Thanks for watching 😃

Presumably 5:48 was 'Mallard'. Sorry, had to say it!
Just hope the Muggles don’t see…
Someone might end up going in the Forrest!
That Quacked me up!
Haha brilliant! The car attached to the front is a stroke of genius in my opinion. Thanks for watching 🤩

Omg the ducks 😂😂
I dare even the hardest rivet counter not to smile when those go past! 😂 Thanks for watching 👍
@ThatModelRailwayGuy too true! 😅 I feel they have missed a trick though not painting the ducks to look like mallards!
like watching a conjuring trick !!
It certainly is! Thanks for watching 😃
Brilliant layout 👍.
Have you been inspired to build an N scale layout for yourself, Joe?
I've built an N Gauge layout in the past, just not on the channel. I still have most of the locos, rolling stock and materials but I don't know if I'll ever get round to doing something with it. Thanks for watching 😃
I don't think Harry or Ron can explain to insurance what happened to the Ford Anglia.
"And you say the vehicle was flying at the time?" 😅 Thanks for watching 👍
What is up with the flying car? Is that from one of those Ron Weasley films?
Yes it's from the second one I believe: "Ron Weasley And The Giant Spiders" 😉 Thanks for watching 👍

I would assume it's a tongue-in-cheek take on having a red tail lamp at the back of the train. Thanks for watching 😃
Could only be England or Wales.
It’s supposed to be somewhere near Swindon I believe. Thanks for watching 😃
I need to stop taking my strong codeine tablets !!!
