🥲 I’m so touched and excited that’s she’s on the show. She was one of my favorite singers growing up and I couldn’t wait to turn 16 and sing the song and have it actually mean something. I love how beautiful and positive her music was and is. She’s a such a rare gem that deserved more recognition 🙏🏽🦋
So nice to see singers who can’t (or don’t) riff up and down. Even though I love that style of singing, it’s refreshing and reassures singers who “sing straight” as my vocal coach puts it, that riffing and running isn’t the only good way to sing. There’s tone, breath control, clarity, pronunciation, and pitch that also makes someone a great singer.

Absolutely here for this! You don’t have to riff and run from Texas to Timbuktu to be a great singer.
Nothing wrong with it, I love it, but it’s good to see singers like her and Alex Isley (the recent eps I’ve seen) who embody songs change the mood of a room with their voices instead of the more ostentatious riffs and runs that can be excessive (not because they can’t do them but it’s just not their style). She did a phenomenal job!

I'll never forget seeing her perform live back in 2012, she was AMAZING. Such a beautiful voice and I'm so happy to see her still making music. She was one of those young music prodigies that didn't get the shine they deserved. Shoutout to Terrell for showing her genuine love, I wish the episode was a bit longer!
