Norma Jean baby, these were the bands I used to listen to in high school! Jesus I’m surprised the crowd didn’t get down harder than this. Back in 2000’s we’d be fkin sht up
If I had to guess, being Furnace Fest, with all those top tier bands, alot of people were probably exhausted, and yea as someone said we're all old now 😂
Thanks for this! I noticed the audio changes a bit when you're switching between zoom settings (I have the same issue with my iPhone 15) - turns out you can fix it by settings > camera > uncheck 'record stereo sound' - downside is sound becomes mono, but at least it's consistent.... *shrug*
Thanks man, I actually started doing this recently as that drove me nuts as well. You gotta watch it though because I had it set up that way for a while and then it set itself back to stereo. So recorded an entire set again with it on and was so mad haha
In an era where its common to just use backing tracks to fill out the sound...even to the point of dropping a band members (uø 😑); it's awesome to see a band actually add another guitarist to fully recreate their sound live.
Grayson was in the middle of a tour with Great American Ghost! He joined NJ for the last 2 weeks of the POD tour! Not sure whats up with Michael though! Was great seeing Jeff and Philly on stage together again!
Well in a recording sense, you’d have 3-4 or even more guitars at a given time depending on the section (It just sounds like way less to a listener). So when you have a band live you lose a lot of those layers if you don’t use back tracks (or have keyboards). So having a third guitarist that runs center just helps make everything a bit thicker. Not to mention if both the L and R guitars are doing leads you basically lose all the oomph of the guitars, so again just another reason to have a third one. Basically just a few reasons. I didn’t even mention that some songs just happen to have 3 guitar parts and they want to recreate that haha. I think listening to a band like Avenged Sevenfold is a good example of how some bands (at least in my opinion) can lose momentum live when you don’t have a third guitar player. It’s during the dueling guitar parts especially that have 3-4 guitars in a recording, but live only 2.
I believe Phillip Farris stepped in as a touring guitarist for Grayson Stewart and then when Grayson returned they just kept Phillip in the band as well. He’s now listed as an official member on their Wikipedia page
No range? Wut? On the last album, he absolutely demolished the vocals and he sounds still phenomenal. But his vocals are really a huge puzzle in their music, Norma Jean is touring all the time, he is not the youngest anymore and he is also banging his head a lot. I would be surprised if he was able to scream and sing perfectly. The Blueprints version in this video sounds still phenomenal, just little bit different.

Kinda one of the reasons I haven’t done a festival yet. Yet 😏. Smaller venues crank.
couple more guitar players couldn't hurt
Great recording thankkk u❤🎉
Awesome recording!

NJ cooks. I see they brought in their 2 former guitarists to jam. I don’t see Grayson and Michael on 2024 tour. Great vid. TY!!

you say what you want, but memphis surely will be laid to waste❤
Any ESO Charis fans?
im now 40 and still i'd fucking wreck the pit on the breakdown of Creating Something... that crowd is lazy AF
Why are there so many guitarists?

@@dominicspizzirri4399 they usually just tour with the 2 though. Just wondering what was going on for this show.
@@EveryTimeIDavidPhilly usually does these one off gigs with them since he doesn’t tour anymore

Christian hardcore is alive and well
Geeze. too much guitars
Great cover band
I’m so disappointed. No range left in his voice….
to be fair its been 20 years

lame set-list, you know everyone is there to hear Bless The Martyr
One of the most overrated bands in the genre. Just boring as hell. Ironic mustache core.
Still not playing Face:Face 🥱
Bless the martyr is trash
They played Face:Face at K pit
