» OVERVIEW: Starsector is an open-world single-player space-combat, roleplaying, exploration, and economic game. You take the role of a space captain seeking fortune and glory however you choose. In this series I'll be using the Ashes of the Domain mod which adds significantly more features to colonies and colonizing progress. We'll be faced with important decisions about how to develop our colonies, what to research and the strategy to use when dealing with foreign powers.
» DETAILS ABOUT THE SERIES: The goal of this series is to showcase the mechanics added by the Ashes of the Domain mod which primarily includes colonization, research and megastructures. Please no spoilers in regards to the mod. The only relevant mods I am using are all 4 Ashes of the Domain mods. I am playing on a random seed and start with gate usage. There are no additional rules like required alliances or restricted trade.

I somehow never knew about the orbital lamp to Kanta deal. I feel like I have lost out on a lot of things due to that... Thanks for this new information mate!
You can bribe Kanta with money too, but I like doing the lamp so that they always buy volatiles at high price

Every time I see this pop up I remember I actually have to start the colony grind instead of just blowing things up like a crazy person.

14:07 - Validly applicable Mods are alphabetical, if they become invalid they are moved to the bottom of the list. Since you're only allowed two Logistic mods on a given ship and when you opened the menu you had both Berthing and Surveying mods on the ship, both being Logistic, thus Efficiency was not valid and moved to the bottom. It became valid once you removed Berthing, but it's place in the list would only move if you closed and reopened the list.
