Hey Steph, I'm sorry about the late reply. I'm thinking I answer all my comments, but these are showing up in my TH-cam Studio under comments I haven't replied to. I'm sorry. Thanks for coming by and encouraging me.
You have a good stock of groceries. I’m sorry the chicken upset your tummy. Like you say, it’s not a deal if you end up having to throw it out so may as well just buy a small piece. When it comes to keeping lettuce and spinach I always crinkle up some paper towel or napkin or even a cotton kitchen cloth and put it in the container with the greens, close the lid tight and it tends to keep the greens fresher longer as it absorbs the moisture. I’m going to do my best to keep my budget at the 50 dollars. If nothing else it will help me to stay focused on watching what I spend. I tend to make a lot of impulse purchases and waste so much food. Have a blessed night 🥰 ❤
Hey Donna, Thank you for commenting. I'm sad about the chicken. I love chicken. I could eat it every day, but my body rebels! My freezer is not working, so I couldn't save it. I will try the tip for the lettuce and spinach. I remember my mother used to keep lettuce wrapped in a kitchen towel. Living on a fixed income, I need to watch what I spend. The grocery store is the last frontier for me regarding impulse buying. Not wanting to or feeling like I don't want to cook, I waste my food by not cooking what I have.
Very smart move ,,,,i was wondering about that chicken could you have froze it in individual servings and put it in the freezer or was it too old I know sometimes I let mine go too long and then I think I can't save it... Blessings to you my friend I hope you're having a great day
Hey, Mrs. Peach. Thank you for stopping by. That chicken was my enemy! I could have frozen the chicken, but my freezer doesn't work. Chicken upsets my stomach.
Hi Helen. My stomach reacts to red meat like your with chicken. I can only do a steak like once a month. I’m going to try that in the cottage cheese.banana pudding sounds yummy.
Hey Patti, Hope you've had a good week. I've been lying low. I'm fine; I get quiet every so often! I love chicken and hate that it upsets my stomach. I'm sorry you have trouble with beef. I'm uploading a ground beef recipe right now. It's starting to bother my stomach. I will have to watch what I eat for a while. Girl, that banana pudding was so good. I ate all of it. I will make another one tomorrow for dinner for Monday's sibling/cousin get-together. I'm still interested in the artisan journal. I'm just not in the mood right now.
