All I can think about is the producers/directors watching from their mixing room live and seeing her land on the W and everyone turning to each other in shock like "Oh sh*t..."
A blip in their budget. They spend that on Pat's hair.
Also most of the crew root for the people to win. Its not like the money comes out of their pocket.
@@definitivedom5482 producers are above directors, they choose who becomes director, and possibly others (such as the host himself, but he probably has too much clout). They are part of the parent company that is heading the show (and possibly other shows).
This show has a gigantic budget. Obviously no business likes losing money, but the higher ups were probably happy that someone hit the million. It probably gave them great ratings and a lot of traffic towards the show after people heard about someone winning a million.
That show takes in about 40 million a week if not more.
seeing how happy she got made me feel like I won something lol. You can't help but smile at that.

It was 10 years ago today that Michelle made Wheel of Fortune history by becoming the 1st Million Dollar Winner ever. To this day, only 3 have done it but she is the originator. Congrats Michelle on this celebration. 😄
I know it’s only money, but the pure joy this lady has is priceless. Let’s hope the money served them well.

Tony Bidwell I was watching with a couple of my friends that night and not only during Charlie's voice I saw the card show the wedge and I just yelled SHE GOT IT SHE GOT THE MILLION!!!! and everyone of the guys in the room once they saw the 1,000,000 flash across the screen they went WILD!!! What’s crazy is I’m pretty sure Pat knows where it is because he usually shows the location when they don’t get the million, so that’s tremendous restraint on his part to not give any indication
I don't watch the show often but I happened to watch this one. I was screaming and jumping up and down for her! Such a sweet lady!
