This seems like a great support Field Ugrade that pairs well with other Field Upgrades. Like during boss battles, having this paired with someone who has the group Aether Shroud augment would make yall nigh untouchable in Phase 3 boss fights. And thats hypothetically speaking for just two players. I can only imagine how it pairs with the other Field Upgrades.
The swords eat big guys when you have the 4 elements going. Fire, electricity, void sword alt, light sword alt. I think that Might be for a reason. I would be interested to see the full build combo of 4 people with swords. Light sword stands out front because they get armour. Use incantations with the aug for gaining the type of equipment you have and also use the Tesla storm so electricity flows 4 times in a row creating the weakness to obliterate everything with swords and a certain stance in a camp spot. I love the build aspect of this game, my mind goes nuts wondering what could be done with 4 different builds to work with in quads but you need a good 4 person team. I don’t have any friends I play zombies with 😂
They need to just combine all the augments for this besides the time extension and redo all of them. I swear, the augment system in general is so underwhelming
I wouldn't say they're all underwhelming, but there's a wild gap between the best and worst augments. For example, reactive armor or dying wish are insanely good but then you have the flopper one that reduces environmental damage, which would be fine if... there were any locations where that actually mattered?

That's incredibly stupid to me. It especially sucks when coming off of cold war where all perks and abilities were just awsome. I like what they're trying to go for but it needs overhauled. Alot of thes augments should just be intrinsic and major augments should vastly change the behavior of the perk or field upgrade. Ive been using tesla on solo with the time extension augment and the last major augment and its pretty decent with dealing with boss zombies in stunning them a bit and getting out of some sticky situations since the zombies nearby are eternally stunned

Hella people saying Tesla storm doesn’t do much but I think it’s a better eject button than frenzied guard and healing aura. I use the stun major augment and speed minor augment. I just run circles around my duo and it makes both of us untouchable for 10 seconds while allowing you to keep grouping zombies More fun than going invisible and more useful than healing/armor repair
@LegoUnlocked aether shroud cloaks you. That's it. It doesn't do anything to the zombies, so why compare tesla storm to it constantly? Not to mention the attempts at killing the zombies with storm which I just don't really get myself since it's designed almost exclusively for stunning the zombies and that's it. Guard causes them ALL to line up and run towards YOU theoretically allowing you to STEAL headshots from other players lmao I don't mess with shroud at all because I prefer zombies running at me personally, much easier to save ammo and predict movement. Tesla seems like it would be BAD for getting headshots as it uses the same stun animation that dead wire and shock charges use which makes the zombie heads not line up at all. Just don't really see the point of Tesla Storm at it's current power level besides just getting the medals lol
@loadedexcrement the amount of people using guard starts to annoy me now lol, not because the field upgrade is objectively good and people want to use it, but because I'm on the other side of the map and I keep getting all the zombies taken from me Yesterday I was playing a pub lobby with 3 other players and everyone had guard, nonstop hordes being interrupted by those guys spamming the ability, back to back every round. Really interrupts the flow of gameplay, I wish the radius wasn't map wide.

I prefer it to the energy mine and as I prestige I don't have to level up to unlock it, since it's new it doesn't get locked behind a level. So I use it until I unlock Healing Aura, then Aether Shroud. That is it's biggest win honestly.
Tesla storm is good for alchemist medals when paired with molotovs and can get you 2-3 alchemist medals typicaly on early rounds depending on how many zombies you have
Lego when you look at the wunderfizz it has room for 16 perks. Do you think there will be 16 at the end of the game with a 10 perk limit to make perkaholic even more desirable.
Not sure why TreyArch made Tesla Storm worse in BO6 vs Cold War. In Cold War it would stun special and elite enemies but now it doesn't do that in BO6 😤
With Craig's damage being so low when you guys were doing the tether testing, I've noticed that with Tesla Storm specifically, sometimes my augments just get removed and I have to put them back on, idk why, I put them on the other day and went into my directed save file to farm camos, re-saved and went to change some augments on Healing Aura (the only one I don't have a Gold Mastery badge on) and Tesla Storm had no augments equipped
The thing with Tesla storm is that it’s more for area control rather than dps. Like imagine doing a lockdown in the boat roam on terminus? Or holding down the bowling lanes with a couple of people while doing the valve step? It’s better than you think it is Lego, you just happen not to be testing it with the right scenarios
Its so underwhelming 😂 tbh, they should've made it to where if someelse has it equipped and they get tethered, whatever augment is applied to their Tesla Storm will also apply to yours as long as they're tethered 😅
Hey Lego don't know if im the only person that noticed this but for the vulture ade augment to hides you from zombies in gas you lose aim assist and deadshot when the zombies are standing in it which can be quite annoying when camo grinding
I’m honestly really disappointed by this. Might be an unpopular opinion, but I’ve always found Tesla pretty handy in Cold War, good for if you get cornered, and even for taking out hordes if you find an Insta-Kill. They definitely need to buff it in BO6, though, which like you said, is realistically not gonna happen (they’ll just nerf shock charge).
I pretty much solely use Tesla storm for speedrunning, just makes things easier to move around, and the slight speed boost is nice lol. I use it for valve step on liberty, cannon step, meleeing swords, other than that it has no use 😭
We used it in the high round strat for citadel and it was such a useful tool, it helped get my team to the other trap without any downs so I see the use of it.
Glad you got around to this I'm a solo player but up to round 30-35 I rock this then swap to frenzied guard or shroud I use extend duration and stun on activate I use field upgrade augment on speed so only like 100 kills to fill but it is fun stuns all zombies and stands them straight up and lasts a decent minute so offensive or saving yourself it stops the zombies and makes headshots stupid easy annnnnd for giggles insta kills with Tesla storm is fun
And also that was the best thing with the original. Stun the horde so you can melt. And if you hit the zombie with the shock stick it zaps more!?!? WTFuck!
Energy Mine with the Carousel Augment is hands down the best option in Zombies. Cornered? Activate it and wipe out all the zombies to escape. Teammate down? Pop it, run in for the revive, clear the horde, and get out safely. No armor? No worries-any zombies that get close will drop instantly. Plus, it charges fast, and you get two charges to keep the action going. Easily the best choice in my book!
Definitely got to try this out. Haven’t tested the augments for it yet. How does it handle bosses though? Wouldn’t still be hard to rez a teammate near an abomination?

@TankTim-r7y I think your field upgrade should be able to kill the zombies. Everyone likes their own thing though and different play styles may require different field upgrades.
I don't think Tesla storm is that bad. For the most part you want a field upgrade that saves you if you are cornered. & It does that. If you are still leveling up prestiges. This is a FREE field upgrade to start with instead of energy mine. So it is good.

It did for me almost every time but I have also had its stun wear off after a second or 2 and the elite ended up getting me haha

The speed boost on Tesla storm is Perfect for instakill.

Frenzied Guard is the best one hands down. Get out of jail free card whenever you use it. Aether Shroud is a close 2nd imo.

I've noticed that my Tesla Storm augments unequip themselves randomly so it becomes the base TS. Super annoying
