Yay, less plastic to end up in landfills and the oceans. Perfect example of from trash to treasure!

You know it's a gonna be a good one when TSB starts with 'Beautiful ornaments using mostly trash'. 😅 So true, though. I've stopped going out and buying new stuff everytime I see something I want to replicate, and instead have started to use what's around me as a stimulus for creativity. And it ends up being more beautiful because my imagination has led me to it. X

You need to write a book with all the ways that you think of how to recycle. I think that I have had a book about art recycling before, but you find even more things and ways to reuse trash. You have such a creative brain.

Absolutely beautiful!! This is why I craft...and THIS, to me, is heartfelt crafting!! making something decorative, useful and beautiful out of next to nothing. Just stunning. Thanks Susan.

Love the red, black, and gold hearts! Maybe you could do some similar projects with shampoo bottles, aluminum cans, bottle caps, anything really. It makes you look at your trash completely differently! I have always love the idea of bottle cap ear rings. Can't wait to see more videos! Happy crafting! 💜🖤💜

EXCELLENT ! Saving the Earth for our Grandchildren! I see these on a table runner on the dinning room table ! Surround them with candles ,let the romance start! Put them at the end of the bookshelf and decorate ! They belong everywhere!

So, I've been watching you make beads for a long time (although I don't make any myself, I find great inspiration in how you play with colours and employ it elsewhere) and I absolutely love your work and air both.
Nothing compares to how happy it makes me to see you recycle waste materials into art though. I've been using waste to build a fairyhouse for the past year (it's about 1 meter high and let me tell you, that is perhaps a bit too ambitious when you've never made a single miniature item before in your life, haha. The learning curve has been steep). I've gotten increasingly passionate about using trash rather than buying things, not so much to save money as to try and be environmentally responsible to whatever capacity I can.
I'm sorry I'm rambling. What I mean to say is that I am so happy to see you use what others discard. I don't see many youtubers do this and it's just so refreshing and creative. Thank you for showing us how to make beauty out of anything

@@EllenJB Oh my gosh, thank you so much for your kind words. It's been fun so far. Everything has been a first on this journey and I've been trying to rely on recyclables as much as I can. TurtleSoupCrafting really inspired me in this video to try and see if I can incorporate those lil baggies somehow. Maybe as filling for bedding or when creating landscaping rocks 🤔.

I love, love ,love when you do these great recycle crafts. I've spent a ton over the years for supplies - and I will probably continue - but I could easily become a hoarder of land fill waste. Most of my food scraps go into my garden, and I have cans, bottles, boxes and papers just waiting for ideas. I've done some projects that were good and some that were total fails, but I'll continue to try. Thanks for another great idea for keeping my creative juices flowing without a huge investment - and hopefully helping the environment. I can't help but think Christmas ornaments with this one - I'm thinking to put a piece of wire down the middle from top to bottom - a loop on the top for hanging and loop on the bottom for some beads or as I learned from you fringe. Wishing you and yours a very happy healthy New Year.

@1:04 I make the core to my tamari balls with shipping bags but I wrap it with thread..I started wrapping paper mache sculptures in the thread then painting a coat of white/PVA glue which is very strong yet lightweight..I think you would be surprised how fast something can be encased in thread.

Sorry, I think you are great, but you are not stopping that stuff going into landfill, you are just delaying it going into landfill. It doesn't breakdown for thousands of years. That is the reality. We shouldn't be producing it period.
