- I love recycling any products I can for my crafts so go hit your recycling bin and grab all the cardboard boxes you can just think of all the beautiful crowns you could make with them !

I put a little cornstarch in a small sock and seal with a rubber band. Tap it on your mold and it will give you a nice light coating of cornstarch which will let them pop out a little easier...especially if you have a detailed mold. 🙂 Love this! Thank you.
And Teflon baking sheets are great for demolding your clay so it won’t stick to the paper, or table. 🙂
Ahhh why didn't I read your tip before going ahead!! that was definitely the trickiest bit for me at first (I used the same moulds in the video but I think my clay was a bit different as paper wouldn't grab it at all so I had to tease it out manually), I'll know for next time now thank you!!! 🙂
The molds can also be placed in the freezer for 15-30 min. They will then pop out and soften back up in a few minutes. (I let them sit for about 30 min.

Totally Magical! I have 8 granddaughters who will love these as ornaments on their tree! I see them done in their favorite colors pink ,green , blue I have a list! These are absolutely incredible!!! I can see girls' groups such as scout troops voting to make a project like this. I'm also tempted to wonder if this same method might be used with a soldering gun and thin/bendable metal strips to form the crown elements and then optionally use strong glue to apply the sparklies and create an amazing bed crown from which gorgeous bed drapery would cascade (these would make stunning bed crowns even without the pearls and/or sparklies, they are divine with just gold or silver paint and perhaps a teeny bit of darker color rubbed into creases etc. with a cloth for a little antiquing).

I pop my moulds in the freezer for a little bit then they pop out easily For the most intricate designs without bits breaking off.

Absolutely gorgeous regal crowns. I think I would cut a third of the work by using three long strips instead of taping six strips together. But great tutorial. I really appreciate you posting and sharing.

I am going to try this , I'm going to paint it black first , then mist it with gold spray so the black looks like tarnish in the grooves , it will give it more patina . Thank you for the tutorial.

Nice crowns - another fast option with silicone moulds is filling with hot glue via a glue gun - and trim off any excess with scissors and they can be painted too.

This is perfect for Mardi Gras decor. I have a few similar crowns. I have purchased over the years but they are pretty expensive. Mardi Gras is purple green and gold so purple or cold material on the inside would be ideal. I will give this a try for next year. Thanks so much!
