I’ve had a watch and listen to all of your Maschine MK3 vids over the past few days and just wanted to say hats off dude - I love the style of tunes you are making here and I’m picking up some great ideas about how I can up my use of Maschine. Particularly like seeing what you do with the sustain in transient master to create space in loops, how you use band pass filters to stop melody, vox and fx fill out the spectrum too much and how you were using lock states and macros in one of the vids to keep things live and improvised. Seems like you are drawing your content from a well curated user library rather than the Maschine library most of the time - is that correct?

One thing I haven't discussed much is a big part of the process is hours-long sessions combing Splice for the right samples for what I'm going for. A common sentiment I hear and agree with is that a big part of the battle is starting with the right samples
Yes absolutely - it’s a bit like properly digging in the crates for vinyl back in the day - you had to go through stacks and persevere to find those gems. Similar with sample digging you have to be comfortable that you can go through folders and folders of loops, stabs and vox and come away with just a couple… and it’s a process that only really works if you do dedicated sessions sample digging upfront coz we all know that when you’ve got a nice little idea brewing no one wants to stop that flow for an hour searching for the perfect sample - you just take the 1st one that is relatively passable so you can get back to creating - well that’s certainly what I do in that situation anyway! But in closing my waffle 😂 I’d just like to say… it stands out to me loud and clear that you’ve put a great deal of care and effort into curating your samples before setting to work - it must be a very enjoyable and fulfilling process when your in the flow creating due to the upfront investment!
hi, I wanted to know how to move and add sounds on the timeline.. maybe start with just a kick and then after a few seconds add instruments and maybe after 1 minute start the bassline.. I can't since it makes me add the sounds all from the first second
What software or kit is this? I got komplete 15 standard electronic since I’m just making hardgroove but these sounds sound amazing. What would you recommend?

I just got a machine mk3 along with a machine jam as an absolute beginner and I can guarantee it is not that easy at is seems 😜 Takes a lot of learning to figure out all the functions… but it’s fun. 😊 You should get one
I think it would be a good machine to learn on. It's not easy, but there's a learning curve for every groovebox. The only thing I'd say is worth considering is if you want to try something cheaper first to get your feet wet. But you're going to have to take a decent amount of time learning whatever you get, and the Maschine is incredibly versatile, so I'd recommend it
@@PeterRobotMusic ok thank you. I saw tbat there’s also a version with the software that’s already integrated in it and no need for a computer to use it with. Although it’s expensive, do you recommend it for a beginner or should I stick with yours?
@@aidenbull_I would recommend the one I use personally. It has more processing power since the Maschine+ processor isn't as strong as a laptop usually (so I hear), so it runs faster. Also you can integrate way more tools with the MK3 in the long run since it's connected to a computer, whereas the M+ is limited to what's already on it.
