You would be better off taking out the insole and wiping the underside of the insole and the inside bottom of the shoe with a dryer sheet. Dryer sheets are really good at absorbing moisture. Once you've done that, powder the insides of the shoes real good and then place the insoles back in the shoes. The next step is taking that same can of WD40 and spraying the outsole of shoe and getting in the crevice as best as possible by using the tube. The oil will penetrate the outsole if saturated enough so there is no need to spray the inside of the shoe. This is a more stable fix and will keep your shoes from smelling like an auto repair shop.
Thank you very much. I am Korean. I bought Maison Margiela sneakers two years ago, but I didn't wear them often because they made too much noise every time I walked with my shoes on. However, I happened to see your video today and the sound from your shoes was resolved. Thank you so much! ^^

I would not have thought of this! I tried it on some really noisy Internationalists, where the squeak was coming from a different area to the Jordans. I'd tried the baby powder method before, which made virtually no difference, but once I found the source of the sound disturbance and gave it the WD40 treatment, there is almost no noise. Thanks for the tip!
I would use silicone spray instead of WD-40. WD-40 is a petroleum product and may dissolve some materials used in the shoe. It also as the video states smells. Silicone lubricant will do neither. But try cornstarch first, under the insole.

I used this method for the tongue area on my flint 13's. It makes the same noise due to friction from the leathers. But for the 11's midsole I used powder instead of this method. The wd-40 will eat at your midsole glue. Don't do this to any midsole shoe .
