Indonesia has 2 kind of Martabak..; 1). Martabak Manis (sweety) made of dough like Pancake. 2) Martabak Telur (eggs) as seen on this video. Both usually are sold by the same Sellers. All foreigners/tourist like those both items, and the locals as well.
The condiment you missed to eat with the martabak was actually pickled cucumber (knowing you don't like pickle, you'll like this one since it's just a bit sour), it's supposed to be a palate cleanser for the greasy martabak, they compliment each other when eaten together! And if you choose the expensive martabak you'll get more special and thick martabak with the ground beef and duck eggs. (The cheap one usually using chicken eggs)

at first I wasn't interested in watching that long video, but when I tried it for a few seconds it turned out to be interesting.
Sangat beruntung menjadi bagian dari bangsa Indonesia, makanannya enak2 , orngnya ramah2❤
The most wholesome part in this video is when Cak (Mr./Bro) Faiz trying to offer you his bubur kacang ijo (green beans porridge) for free. I wanna cry a lot caused by his kindness!
I like this. This is the first time I watched your video in this video but I immediately liked and subscribed to your TH-cam because I really like your views which are so kind and friendly towards Indonesians, thank you, bro
The hospitality of the locals is impressive!
Pisang Ejo, and Martabak look delicious, I really want to eat!
Great job, thanks a lot for sharing!👍😄👏
Indonesia has 2 kind of Martabak..;
1). Martabak Manis (sweety) made of dough like Pancake.
2) Martabak Telur (eggs) as seen on this video.
Both usually are sold by the same Sellers.
All foreigners/tourist like those both items, and the locals as well.
@@sriwikanyoto7403 Thanks a lot for letting me know! You are very nice! 👍
You have to come to Indonesia, you will crazy in love with this amazing country.
@@s7mikha255 You are very nice! Thank you so much!🙏
Welcome to Subaya, Indonesia! And greetings to Malaysia 🇲🇾
Mr faiz got a heart of gold. First time saw this kinda enthusiastic personality in Indonesia. Such a lovely man. ❤
Whenever I watch your vlogging videos, I feel literally like I'm there with you. Thanks for exploring.
Waow... that's so what I feel 👍
The guy who can speak good English and Japanese is quite famous in Surabaya for selling Mung Bean Porridge. Luckily you meet him, Dale! You have to try his Mung Bean Porridge next time
You know what? Maria didn't want to disturb Dale eating she waits until he finished his meal then she asked for a selfie, what a nice woman she is, just lovely
The fact that mr faiz (the guy who sell pisang ijo) have a truly heart touching story about his life, his hard works really pays off
Welcome to Surabaya, Dale...
You choose the right meal, Nasi Bebek is a must when you are visiting Surabaya, very tasty and savory. Can't wait to see your next vlog in Surabaya.
Nothing can beat Surabaya duck-rice right, gyu chan? 👍
actually this is what we prefer, interaction with the locals and seeing their admiration for foreigners is sometimes a good spectacle
Pedagangnya jujur, saya lihat vlog bule tentang kuliner jalanan di kota-kota Indonesia kadang-kadang gak jujur. So, enjoy with you, Mr. dale. Friendly!
What an awesome duck seller, so friendly and welcoming
let's visit Indonesia. There is a famous TH-camr from Kenya (I forgot the Channel), but she studies in Indonesia.
You wouldn't ever get this warm welcoming vibes in UK, I can tell you that
Indonesia ❤
❤❤❤
Saya orang Surabaya sangat bangga sama bapak Faiz...englishnya luar biasaa kerennnn ❤❤
Pak Faiz orang Madura kayaknya bang
paik faiz orang medan
So much life happening on just one street. People out just living their lives in public. This is why I love Southeast Asia
I'm from Semarang, and everytime i visit Surabaya, having fried duck is a must. They have those dark spice things that make Fried Duck in Surabaya is definetely the best. Glad you enjoy it..
Mampir dong bang
Glad you enjoyed Surabaya foods Ewin. Greeting from Surabaya 🙋🏻♂️
Pisang Ijo is my favorite! And the vendor is very skillful in English, that's really cool to see
I really like to see you visiting Indonesia and enjoying Indonesian food, thank you for visiting Indonesia

Slllrrrrpppp... Yumi... It's very delicious.
Loved this video seeing how other countries live their day to day lives and that guy you met who spoke great English what a genuine nice guy he was!
Lol
I am surprised my self. His englush is so good
I appreciate you for speaking Bahasa! A great improvement is shown right here! That way you can interact more with the people in other cities! Nice job!
This video is just what I needed on this Sunday! Thank you, Dale!😎❤
I'm from Bandung mr Dale, of course I will come to Surabaya to taste the duck rice dish that you enjoy and of course your interesting way of vlogging🤠🤟
Dale, the food court you mention in 6:15 is called Pasar Blauran (Blauran Market) is one of the oldest market known for selling Surabaya's street food : Dawet, Nasi Babat(Tripe Rice), Soto Ayam, Nasi Bebek etc. Glad to see you enjoying your time while staying in Surabaya 👍
I didn't expect you would take that chili sauce back home. 😂
I laughed so hard, man. You're unpredictable. ❤
@@Zelda_kit iya lumayan. Tapi mengapa kok dikasih unjuk segala?!🤣
He seems serious about it. Idk he's joking or what. Either way it's hilarious.
@@endoneswa bule aja ga malu bawa 'sisa'. Masa yg lokal gengsi. 🤭

Glad you enjoy Surabaya. I heard Surabaya have biggest english speaking population than any other city in Indonesia.
But put an english speaking population aside, Surabaya foods is way better than those two. 😂✌️
Meski medok suroboyoannya ttp keliatan kaya Chateez 😂😂
Bali still beat surabaya, then Kediri.
What an accent! I liked it. I prefer to hear Indonesians speak that way rather than mocking an American accent. It fits very well.
I am very happy to see a hospitality from a Surabayan man like Faiz, he makes me proud to be a Surabayan❤
*Reminds me of some of the Thailand Roti's I've been eating*
Can't wait to try it when i get to Indonesia ✈️✈️✈️
come to Indonesia. your subscriber will grow up to thousand
I love uploads every week, thanks for the content Dale! 💪🏻😁
The man who helped you with the duck staff at the start. His English is fantastic!! Such a friendly man
THANK YOU FOR COMING TO SURABAYA SIR DALE! YOU MUST BE ENJOYED OUR BELOVED CITY. Love your videos, Sir!
Surabaya has a lot of legendary street food that you must try. Many traditions and cultures are met there. It's pretty much simillar to Jakarta, because it's 2nd biggest city in Indonesia. So enjoy your stays!
Hi Dale, a little correction. In the description of this video you said Pisang Ijo is one of West Java’s delicacy, but it is actually from South Sulawesi (Makassar).
i love it when he eats everything with his hands, like a true local!
I couldn’t help but have a smile on my face during that encounter with that dude what a sweet heart honestly
Terimakasi atas konten yg menunjukan semua hal di Indonesia bro, sukses selalu, semoga betah di Indonesia.
