Ill be hoping that at some point, you may decide to build a zoom adapter, to manually scale the image on the sensor up and down without having to crop. It would be like projecting a film onto screen and resizing it to fit the screen and refocusing to get it sharp. If that's ever possible, we could then have fun adapting any lens on any camera and get the whole picture on full sensor and it would also mean that we can decrease size to actually get the vignette, to get what the lens is actually getting, which would work in some photography styles, especially on wide and fisheye lenses. It also resolves the vignette issue when you add a hood, you can just zoom in from the adapter, instead of in camera.

We kind of have adapters like that. All of our DLX Stretch adapters enlarge an adapted lens’s image circle on the camera’s sensor by moving the lens farther from the sensor, but by doing that, they also cause the lens to lose infinity focus and become a macro focus only lens. So you can enlarge the image circle, but maintaining infinity focus would require further optics that would unfortunately have to be custom made for every kind of lens.
