Because my definition of Cyborg is pretty much that the Cybernetic part is necessary at this point to even survive, and Sam well, he doesnt need his arm to survive. Hell for example Armsrong is a cybord since his heart is filled with Nanomachines. Raiden is undoubtedly a Cyborg too, but if you merely add an exoskelleton and replace a lost arm by a cybernetic construct is doesnt really count as cyborg now does it?

The thing is I think Sam would have a legit chance of surviving Calamity Terrraria. Especially if his swords ingame stats are anything to go by. Dudes fists do almost as much damage as his sword so if the muramasas stats are legit than I could see him punching the shit out of most post moon lord bosses.
If raiden can kill him with his sword and he moves at normal human speeds then he probably wouldn’t live long enough to kill them, but maybe the profaned guardians.

I would like to note, though, that the Terraria track being used is not The Devourer of Gods (which the actual name of the track used in the fight for the Devourer of Gods is called "Scourge of the Universe"). The track being used here is "Servants of the Scourge", which is a mashup of the three tracks used for the three minion bosses of the Devourer that you have to defeat to summon the Devourer. Just putting that out there in case anyone goes looking for the terraria track and gets confused when they can't find it.
Actually, servants of the scourge is the first part of the total devourer of gods song, which includes servants of the scourge, scourge of the universe, and universal collapse, so seeing that this starts from the biginning, this very well could be the devourer of gods theme, and not just servants of the scourge

Wasn’t the DoG assassination attempt separate from the Yharim one? In the lore it says DoG was Signus’ second failed assasination, besides, DoG and Yharim are not allies, and Yharim even mentions that if DoG had managed become stronger before you killed him, Yharim would have had to eliminate as a threat

The sword in the lab is not the murasama the phase layer is a prototype of draedons murasama sam kept his sword or the original is now part of the exo mechs
I think maybe sam lost to the exo mechs, and draedon found the sword and attempted (and failed) to create a copy. Eventually, he moved on to other things and just left the murasama in his underworld lab. Sam let the sword unlock for people who defeated yharon, because it is the boss right before the exo mechs, and he wanted someone to finish what he started.
I'd imagine that the Jetstream Sam of Calamity Mod is Supreme Calamitas as a rival to the main character, (I'd call the terrarian Raiden as a placeholder.) Both had become so desensitized to violence and killing that they lost apart of themselves in the process. With SCal, her will and moral compass and confidence. And Jetstream Sam his entire life's meaning, and ambitions of improvement. But with their defeat, they lead on what was left of them to face a bigger threat. SCal in Yharim and Sam with Armstrong.

Sam's mobility is probably better than Auric Tesla, he doesn't even need wings to suplex something as tall as a building. Probably with his enrage, and you can see in the game the piercing of the Murasama, he could win in like 10 minutes.
