A tip you can use to get out of the habit of blow drying your natural hair before styling is moisturizing your hair like usual and doing the rubber band method. Which basically consists of you wrapping sections of your hair all way for the hair strand to up with hair ties, not too tight. And when you hair dries and depending on how long you had your hair stretch that way you can still achieve a kinda- but heatless stretch look which makes it super easy to maintain your hair. It's also a great way to preserve a hair style when wrapping it up at night. Hopefully this helps

When combing your natural hair without heat use a pick it does the same exact thing put easier and start from the bottom up, also you should use a bristle brush to slick the hair
