Yessss 🤩 I do something similar to define my 4c hair and it looks like that the only thing is, is that it shrinks up and makes my hair look shorter so I’m waiting for my hair to grow longer.
4c will always tend to shrink as soon as it has any moisture. 4c also clumps up and shrinks together so you won't get single-looking curly strands like in this video. 4b & 4a will usually have less clumping than 4c and their curls and coils more defined with less shrinkage because the hair doesn't clump up together as much 4c does. Please don't be discouraged,🌺🌺🌼 there are beautiful hair styling tutorials for real 4c, you have to look out for the clumping and shrinkage to know it will turn out the same on your hair😉😘

Her 4c hair is just finer sizes it’s easier to see the individual curl pattern once she uses a lot of gel. When I first went natural, my short hair was “thick” with no curl pattern. Several years later once I learned how to define my curls, it just seemed thinner.
for everyone saying she doesn't have 4c hair, she does. when you wear styles like puffs and stuff, it stretches/loosens up the back of your hair over time. the same thing happens when you do slick bangs and twists in the front of your head. My hair does this with the bentonite clay mixture especially when dried, but my own hair would laugh at me if I put gel in it. I think we need to create a 4D category out here for real tho cos my 5Z head ain't playin!
I discovered that technique by accident a few days ago haha my hair was in a stretched twists and I had to re-moisturize it, I just sprayed my liquid on it and it started reverting just enough to form a 4b curl pattern and not all the way to the 4C and shrink to my scalp, but I'm really too lazy to take all this time to define them so imma embrace my kikiness haha❤️ you and those curls look absolutely gorgeous

I’ve seen other 4c people do a wash and go, they rarely use gel because they think it’ll try their hair or it’ll make residue. But when they do, they have very small ringlets. Also, the more you wear wash and gos the more “trained” it becomes to being that way. He hair is also long and has weight to it. That in itself stretches the curl, plus the weight of the gel

Again I want to emphasize dullness and moisture r not related at all. There r shiny moisturizing products yes but for example hair grease (a sealant) leaves ur hair shiny for a long time but ur hair may be hella dry underneath.

How come when I wear my hear down or just out, it makes my face looks squished or makes my face look fat and so round and makes me look bad and it makes my eyebrows so low But when I hear my hear up in a ponytail or just up anywhere, it first gives me a eyebrow lift and it makes me look so much more prettier and my face features pop out more. I don’t kno the type of hair I have. It’s like curly but thick and course if that makes sense but every time I try to do this hair style and I apple gel to the swoop part and try to swoop it it always curls back up and won’t lay flat or mold into a swoop. But it’s different if I did the low ponytail swoop.

While she may have a few 4b stands, her hair is definitely 4C. Reminds me of my own 4c stands. People have to understand that she started on freshly washed, deep conditioned, and damp hair. When you add in leave in conditioner, styling creams, and LOTS of gel, 4c hair will have definition. You also have to understand her strands are fine. Like my hair, she has great density, but each individual stand is very fine. Fine 4C hair is a different kind of beast. The best way to manipulate my hair is start while it's wet because it's more manageable. The water loosens up the cuticles and causes the hair to expand more. It doesn't mean that I don't have 4C hair. If I let that bad boy dry with no product, imma have some real life problems and crazy shrinkage. I've tried her method on my hair in the past, but I didn't stick with it because it was so much residue from the gel. The diffuser was a nice touch. I was glad to see that she used a diffuser to help with the white leftover residue.

If you train your hair you’ll be able to do it without gel !! 💖💖 it’s goin take years of work but honestly it’s worth it

Yeah my hair is like a spring. It coils and doesn't hang no matter how much product you put in it. I can only achieve this look if I do a twistout but that's a cute hair style.

Someone pls answer. How come when I wear my hear down or just out, it makes my face looks squished or makes my face look fat and so round and makes me look bad and it makes my eyebrows so low But when I hear my hear up in a ponytail or just up anywhere, it first gives me a eyebrow lift and it makes me look so much more prettier and my face features pop out more. Am I ugly or is it my hair? Because I can only wear certain hairstyles but some people can wear all hairstyles and look good with all but when it comes to me, I look bad in most and I can only wear some hairstyles and why is that 🤨

I don’t kno the type of hair I have. It’s like curly but thick and course if that makes sense but every time I try to do this hair style and I apple gel to the swoop part and try to swoop it it always curls back up and won’t lay flat or mold into a swoop. But it’s different if I did the low ponytail swoop.

While she may have a few 4b stands, her hair is definitely 4C. Reminds me of my own 4c stands. People have to understand that she started on freshly washed, deep conditioned, and damp hair. When you add in leave in conditioner, styling creams, and LOTS of gel, 4c hair will have definition. You also have to understand her strands are fine. Like my hair, she has great density, but each individual stand is very fine. Fine 4C hair is a different kind of beast. The best way to manipulate my hair is start while it's wet because it's more manageable. The water loosens up the cuticles and causes the hair to expand more. It doesn't mean that I don't have 4C hair. If I let that bad boy dry with no product, imma have some real life problems and crazy shrinkage. I've tried her method on my hair in the past, but I didn't stick with it because it was so much residue from the gel. The diffuser was a nice touch. I was glad to see that she used a diffuser to help with the white leftover residue.
