I can confirm it's all her, I was standing about 10 ft away in a small San Diego club called brick by brick, and yes she actually pulls it off better live.
There are several very talented women I have learned about on TH-cam that can do this sing and scream. Lauren Babic comes to mind. But that clean switch that's seems unique to this band.
One of my favorite hobbies is watching TH-camrs reacting to this song for the first time. Your reaction is one of my favorites. Your look of astonishment from beginning to end was priceless. Listening to Tatiana's voice go from angelic to demonic and seeing people lose their minds cracks me up. The beauty of this band is they are amazing musicians, songwriters, and lyricists. Also, they are very diversified throwing in some jazz (Beggar's Dance) and some reggae (Who's Gonna Be The One), just to name a couple of songs. Watch a live video of them. The energy coming off the stage, especially from Tatiana is off the charts. The first time I listened to her sing, I was intimidated and turned on at the same time by her voice. One song I highly recommend is Outlander. It will melt your face.
Yes....Tati is for real. Seen them in concert front row in front of the mosh pit. Not only is she for real... she is the most badass metal singer on the planet and I'm not even sure she's 5 feet tall... maybe 90 pounds of concentrated confidence and attitude. There are three Queens in Metal.........Tatiana (Jinjer) for her growl........ Brittany( Unleash the archers) for her scream I would suggest Awakening....and Floor (NightWish) for her vocal range. If you don't already know. The way she "Screams" is a technique where she uses what is known as false vocal chords that are actually used by the body to help prevent water from going into the lungs. The hardest part to learning this technique is actually finding your false vocal chords to use in the first place, then you can't force them when you scream, if you do so; you'll seriously injure yourself. You have to let it flow smoothly. That is how she can switch between "clean singing" and "screaming". Also, she hasn't had any formal training of any kind. Amazing...

Hello! This is the reaction that appears in people when they first hear Jinjer! It never bothers! :D This type of harsh vocals used by the vocalist is called fry screaming (sometimes confused with growling, which is a completely different type of vocals). When using it, the vocalist does not use the vocal cords at all, so they do not suffer from excessive load. This is a very complicated vocal technique, and if you use it incorrectly, you can damage the vocal cords. And Tatiana is fluent in this technique, as well as clear singing... You definitely need to watch Tatiana’s (Jinjer's really) performances on a live show - your brain will simply explode from her energy! She is nuclear bomb on the stage... :D Tatiana on stage is a demon with angel wings and the voices of both of them! I advise you to see "Captain Clock" on Ressurection Fest (official live) or "Who is Gonna Be the One" (live) by Napalm Records. You definitely won’t forget it. :D And a "little bit" information so that you better understand what kind of band this is and who Tatiana is. So (big bunch of text :D): Jinjer is from Ukraine. This is one of the fastest growing band in the world right now - more than 130 concerts with full halls and stadiums on all continents (except Antarctica) last year and incessant tours this year (a new World Tour to release a new album begins in the fall). Well, they're metal, but they're a lot more. Metal has a lot of sub-genres, but Jinjer is unto itself. They like to mix a lot of other non-metal genres into their metal, and Tatiana's voice is what makes it possible. She's a world-class voice backed up by a totally top-notch band.

"Progressive mathcore" sounds interesting, but would maybe better describe something more like Polyphia or Animals as Leaders, but certainly not Jinjer.

They're a Ukrainian metal band, although they don't like to be put in a box, so they say their style is extreme progressive. The whole band is absolutely amazing. Tatiana is for real, I saw them live after a year of waiting in October. None of it is fake, but some of it is augmented(vocal layering)...but it is 100% her voice. It's just shocking to most because a lot of males can't go that low when doing "growls".

In certain circumstances, I think profanity should be forgivable. This is one of them. Another might be stubbing your little toe on furniture while traipsing around the house at night (when you wake people up by yelling and shouting profanities about WHO PUT THAT CHAIR THERE? then this should be forgivable). Obviously this song and MV would be quite a shock for the uninitiated. Good on your husband for NOT warning you because that shock factor totally makes this video worth watching! :)

I'm sorry, but I'm gonna have to add Tarja to that list. I love the ones you said, but there are quite amazing female singers in metal.
If you don't already know. The way she "Screams" is a technique where she uses what is known as false vocal chords that are actually used by the body to help prevent water from going into the lungs. The hardest part to learning this technique is actually finding your false vocal chords to use in the first place, then you can't force them when you scream, if you do so; you'll seriously injure yourself. You have to let it flow smoothly. That is how she can switch between "clean singing" and "screaming". Also, she hasn't had any formal training of any kind. Amazing...

This is the reaction that appears in people when they first hear Jinjer! It never bothers! :D
This type of harsh vocals used by the vocalist is called fry screaming (sometimes confused with growling, which is a completely different type of vocals). When using it, the vocalist does not use the vocal cords at all, so they do not suffer from excessive load. This is a very complicated vocal technique, and if you use it incorrectly, you can damage the vocal cords. And Tatiana is fluent in this technique, as well as clear singing...
You definitely need to watch Tatiana’s (Jinjer's really) performances on a live show - your brain will simply explode from her energy! She is nuclear bomb on the stage... :D
Tatiana on stage is a demon with angel wings and the voices of both of them!
I advise you to see "Captain Clock" on Ressurection Fest (official live) or "Who is Gonna Be the One" (live) by Napalm Records.

Jinjer is from Ukraine. This is one of the fastest growing band in the world right now -
more than 130 concerts with full halls and stadiums on all continents (except Antarctica) last year and incessant tours this year (a new World Tour to release a new album begins in the fall).
Despite the fact that they are all from Ukraine, none of the participants ever speak Ukrainian, because they are from the Russian-speaking region Donbass where almost the entire population is Russian (there is a civil war right now that is supported by Russia on the one hand , and with another USA - there are two songs about it "Sit Stay Roll over" and "When Two Empires Collide").
All songs are in English only, but there is only one in Russian ("Желаю значит получу" - "I Want It I'll Get it").

Tatiana is a big fan of Amy Winehouse - she even makes a one tatoo in honor of Amy (you can also hear the musical imitation of Amy Winehouse at the end of the song "Who Is Gonna Be the One")... And she also likes to listen to classic rock, progressive and NU metal, hardcore and deathcore, hip-hop and rap, blues and soul...
She is 33 years old now.
She was born on March 15, 1987 in Gorlovka, Donbass, Ukraine. After school, she entered the Pedagogical University and received a specialty as a teacher of Russian language and literature. She never studied vocals (only one month when she was a child - she quit music school because she was bored there) and did not train in growling and screaming, she only has a unique natural talents and abilities.
In 2009, her friends from the young band Jinjer (was founded in 2008) were asked to temporarily replace vocalist Max Fatullaev who had left for the US until they find a new vocalist.
But Tatiana brought such energy to the band that she did not replace the old vocalist for a few times, but remained forever and became the real leader of this band and the author of 99% of all songs (lyrics).
She has a big bunch of talents:
she writes poetry and is the author of 99% of the band's lyrics, she draws arts and creates tattoo sketches, she can make tattoos (all tattoos of other members of the band are her works), she sews well (look her homemade dresses in videos "I Speak Astronomy"-official video and "Captain Clock"-live at Ressurection Fest), she does all her jewelry and piercing accessories with her own hands (she generally loves to do all sorts of stuff with her own hands) and much more.

Perennial live in Waken. Open air 2019. The song she wrote is in regards of her seasonal depression she gets. Lyrics are genius.

This is really her, really. This is really Tatiana singing the song. Her singing techniques are really outstanding even among those in the genre. And the rest of the members too... their musicianship is top notch.

They don’t like being labeled by genre. They transcend labels. If you listen to more from them, you’ll see how diverse they are.
Well, they're metal, but they're a lot more. Metal has a lot of sub-genres, but Jinjer is unto itself. They like to mix a lot of other non-metal genres into their metal, and Tatiana's voice is what makes it possible. She's a world-class voice backed up by a totally top-notch band.

They're a Ukrainian metal band, although they don't like to be put in a box, so they say their style is extreme progressive. The whole band is absolutely amazing. Tatiana is for real, I saw them live after a year of waiting in October. None of it is fake, but some of it is augmented(vocal layering)...but it is 100% her voice. It's just shocking to most because a lot of males can't go that low when doing "growls".
Progressive, Death Core, Groove Metal is their genre. This is one of their softer songs, but all of their songs are pure fire. I subbed.

In certain circumstances, I think profanity should be forgivable. This is one of them. Another might be stubbing your little toe on furniture while traipsing around the house at night (when you wake people up by yelling and shouting profanities about WHO PUT THAT CHAIR THERE? then this should be forgivable). Obviously this song and MV would be quite a shock for the uninitiated. Good on your husband for NOT warning you because that shock factor totally makes this video worth watching! :)
