The 1st ultinate universe is so nostalgic to me i grew reading only ultimate marvel because they were the most popular.. some days i miss the feeling and art.

This book has been really good, even if you’ve never read a Black Panther comic before. It’s kind of slow right now, but it’s building out the world and characters first. I really like where it’s going with vibranium. Is it a tool of science or faith? Maybe both? Like Imala asks, “Are you certain that Wakanda controls vibranium, or does Wakanda serve it?”
The way the story is unfolding is so good. I expected plenty of suspense, fantastic elements, and action but I was happily surprised with how it's developing deeper themes and kinda challenging us to figure out these characters and what they really want.

I would place Panther just behind Cap on the TACTICS scale but I would definitely place Brashear, Stark, Reed and Valeria Richards, Moon Girl and even Doom ahead of him. IIRC, the only way Panther could defeat Doom was to destroy all of the vibranium in 616. At this point, Doom has become Sorc Supreme TWICE and created his own realm from discarded worlds while T'challa is dependent upon a flower.

One line that got me was when Ra and Khonshu were speaking about the false or unreal panther god that the Wakandans worship. I’m hoping we get a physical manifestation of her. Maybe something in relation to vibranium. They could bring Bast in as some sort of vibraniunm deity and then there’s her sister we may have recently met for the first time in blood hunt. The one that took T’Challa into old Atlantis
I am loving the new Ultimate Universe! Only liked the Spider-Man from that universe, mainly because of the game from back in the day. But this new iteration is hitting all the right bits now!
