Question; Since you had to move the rear axle, why didn't you just add an inch or two to the bearing mounting plate, which would have given you the rear fender well clearance ( without cutting the body ) & do the same to the front. Would that not have been easier?????? Just asking.......
@@Toofpaist But didn't he lose that when he went to larger tires? I would keep stance/ rake the same angle & live with more ground clearance. Look at ZZ Tops Coupe, it's not dropped to the ground & I dare say most of us like the look.
@@johngeorge5285 I was just giving a reason why he mightve done it this way. I personally would've put a spacer on the axle holder. It will look a bit more slammed and have that tub effect if he cuts the fenders tho
Should have been a shorter front tyre/tire and adjusted the rear however the situation panned out. But it is what it is. Just like in the real hot-rod world doesn’t matter how you did it, unless you’re racing it, who cares. Booger welds holding the engine in? Meh
It's slicker than deer gut on a doorknob. My first thought when you got this kart was ZZ Top! I'm so happy you're gonna be doing that! The tires and wheels are perfect... I love all of your wild builds, but this hot rod referb is my new favorite so far! Can't find these around my neck of the woods....but bet your boots I'm looking!
Greg, I hope you realize how fortunate you are to have your wife working with you. I tried to get mine to get an extension cord out of my out building and plug in the wet Dry Vac up while I was changing the tire on our boat, she dropped a ladder on top of her head and gave herself a headache. I never did get the water out of the Boat. LOL Thank God for your wife Greg. God bless your whole family.
put grease fittings in the spindles when you have them off . I have seen them stick due to rust you don't want to have a loss of steering at high speed .. also I would drop the rear axle if it were mine ..that way you don't need to lift the body.. it looks to be a great build ..
I would have raised the frame in the back for the tire clearance. Put some spacers between the frame and the axle hangers and you would have a more raked look.
Should have just spaced the axle from the frame by an inch would have saved you a lot of work and would have put the wheels back in the center of the rear wheel arches
My buddy could take that tub and make it out of fiberglass he specializes in doing that then there could be ZZ Top bodies for everybody this build is very cool I can't stand it I hope the next video comes out tomorrow great job Redbeard
Just my thoughts but what if you made the bearing plates a half inch longer when you moved them it would give you the body clearance and lower the motor move down too to just clear the axle 👍👍love that hot rod 😍
Should of welded in new axle hangers and gave it some of that sweet muscle car rake! Jacked the rear up a bit then you wouldn’t of had to try the engine risers or trim the body!
Am I the only one laughing when I look at the backview of the body with the surfing girl Sticker there's a part of me that believes that sticker was strategically placed there as a joke
Great looking ride I picked up a project that I'd like to get completed and I'm just not for sure and how I want to do it I like to put this motor on it but I'm not for sure I like to have something to do it for me see what they think have any ideas give me some info
INSTEAD OF HAVING TO CUT THE BODY INORDER TO PUT THE BACK TIRES ON, IT LOOKS LIKE ALL YOU WOULD HAVE HAD TO DO, IS TO SIMPLE DEFLATE THE TIRES THEN INSTALL THEM AND AIR THEM RIGHT BACK UP AGAIN... I DUNNO FOR SURE, BUT IT SEEMS LOGICAL TO ME. WHAT DO YOU THINK RED???
Ya, wheelieing will be cool but I think laying à sweet POS burn out would be cooler. And much less destructive on the poor spindles. To get the absolute best tire roaster I would opt for a smaller two stroke bike engine. . Maybe a Banshee motor. To keep the nice tires you could always just put about 80 psi in them and get your contact patch down to almost nothing.. I'm sure someone paid a fortune for this kart at some time.
I like to use a Rotary saw or my mini Orbital saw with a blade that has a lot more teeth on it to cut fiber glass somethin fast so it don’t melt or leave you with them jagged edges kinda like what you used I was hopin you didn’t use a cuttin wheel lol

I was thinking the same thing
I had the same question too. Why not just lower the axle an inch?
I think he didn't do it cause he wants to keep the lowered stance?
@@Toofpaist But didn't he lose that when he went to larger tires? I would keep stance/ rake the same angle & live with more ground clearance. Look at ZZ Tops Coupe, it's not dropped to the ground & I dare say most of us like the look.

Can't wait to see it finished especially with the ZZ top theme this thing is going to be sick!!!
What would the issue be with lowering the rear axle while relocating it, in lieu of raising the body? Besides, it would help the rake.
I was thinking the exact same
Same here, 1/2 to maybe a inch, that be a hotrod for sure

Side pipes would look pretty cool. Can't wait to see the next video. I really want one of these. Gonna be searching the net until I find one.
Nice build! Great to see something different being built.
Way to go with the upgrades… looking forward to your next video
This is definitely the best looking Shriner parade kart I’ve ever seen! And you’re making it 💯 more awesomer!
Sometimes it's never a easy fix, sucks! but we've all been there before. Great show as always Red Beard. ✌️😎🤘
A set of wheelie bars. A sneaky pete also! Awesome vid.
absolutely loving how this is coming together. looking great!

Love the zz.top idea but could look good as is.You good old boys decide. All the best to you all.
Like the TC / Engine setup - looking real cool
That is really sweet looking big difference
Awesome little hot rod go-kart RBG!
Already looking good
Yes the Z Z Top paint is awesome 👍
Damn Red, that cart is looking great! I can't wait to see it run!
I'm just looking forward to the next video! We'll find brother!
The lil eliminator look will be Awesome 👍
Heck yes!! A ZZ Top look would be awesome!! If you wear some dark sunglasses while riding it, they might mistake you for one of the band members. 😁😎
That kart will be sharp dressed, man.
As I was watching the video, I was saying that I have never seen a drum set up like that and before I finished saying it, you said it. Lol!
GREAT BUILD, CAN'T WAIT.
Cool cart your build your way enjoy all your content at the end of the day it’s just a go cart that’s yours
I have one like that . Mine is set up with a 3 speed trans and reverse. Thanks for sharing
Great video thanks for your time
That will be a sharp dressed car when it's done 👍
Can't wait to see this ripping
Woohoo love the new wheels and the valve cover.😁😁😁🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉💕 allsome work from cruzermans inventions 😁👍🌟
Thanks so much was hoping for more on the hot rod
Nice work
You done did good sir!!
That looks bad ass.
Outstanding work!
Love the build! How about white fur for the interior to stay with the ZZ Top theme?
Love the ZZTop theme !!!!!
I'd like to see front brakes, so you can do burnouts whenever necessary.
Even pushbike rim brakes would do the trick

This build is original for the channel 👏 🤑
Looking sick Redbeard keep it up
Looks pretty Rad man 👍☮️
I would have raised the frame in the back for the tire clearance. Put some spacers between the frame and the axle hangers and you would have a more raked look.
Very cool, great vid!!!!!!!!!! 👍👍
VERY COOL BUILD!!! Since you have a battery why not some LEDs!
Nice job Greg! That car is really cool!🤙👊
God bless Red, I Like to see you bold on a snail 🐌🐌🐌🐌
You can get those brake shoes relined 😉
It's definitely very cool 😎😎
That is sick

32 Ford is one of my favorite cars and I'm going to miss the yellow because it gives me American graffiti Vibes but it'll be beautiful either way
It's a beast 💪💪
Yes Some Square stock under the Axle relocation and you could have saved Cutting the Body .The ZZ Top Scheme will be Sick
And Bob Barker explains it course Bob’s honeys are doing the display it’s a really neat shell that one was
I really like those front wheels. Would love to know the part # for them for a project I'm working on.
Looks SIIIICK 🔥
You have one of the old dyno cams superchargers tucked away to put on it?
Yes! ZZ Top theme will be sick Red. 💀🤘
Cool 😎
Just my thoughts but what if you made the bearing plates a half inch longer when you moved them it would give you the body clearance and lower the motor move down too to just clear the axle 👍👍love that hot rod 😍
I bet the $1000 part is a Porsche Smog pump(mini roots blower)
Okay, Mr. TIG 👍
You know what, the ZZtop crew are car mad, and there’s half a chance the remaining members will want to drive this thing
Looks like Boyd Coddington built a go cart.🤣
Some TSC trailer leaf springs on it for a smoooooth ride.
6:40 - Relationship Goals..... When you can hand your woman a power tool and she knows how to use it. 😍😂
When u moved the axle why wouldn't you drop it an inch?
Thanks for the great videos
I have a go kart look just like that one on a shifter kart one day I hope I finished good show
The ZZ top car you are referring to is the eliminator coupe.
ZZ Top Eliminator coupes color is Porsche Guardsman Red,or it was back in the 80s when it was built..
Whoop!
You could use a wooden keg for the trailer,& make it nice with the wheels & tired on the back of the car
Should of welded in new axle hangers and gave it some of that sweet muscle car rake! Jacked the rear up a bit then you wouldn’t of had to try the engine risers or trim the body!
You should send a picture to ZZ Top after the build is finished
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Put Texas Steer Horns on the front of the Hood!!
Why don’t you just put away spacer in between the axle hangers to check the rear end up but lower the axle to give you more room
Beer keg gas tank in the front.
Whip antenna with Raccoon tail
Spotlight
RBG👍👍
RBG you should check Mustie1 s model T. Another classic like yours.
You should do some cycle karts and or cyclecars
Since you cut of the brackets to relocate the axle, should of lowered the axle to raise body. That way body stays in line with everything else.
Could add a canopy or full flip top hard top to complete the ZZ TOP look
What about flamethrower exaust or would that be to much
Can yall do a couple of video on the 2 stroke bike kits
What do you do with all the toys you build ?
Am I the only one laughing when I look at the backview of the body with the surfing girl Sticker there's a part of me that believes that sticker was strategically placed there as a joke
Need to put a small propane bottle and bbq grill igniters in the exhaust
You should build a flat bed truck (go cart) to haul around that “hot rod”.
Built from a Harley motor, but with a 2 speed rear end for the low down stuff, thing would be able to move anything
Great build! With your 18 inch slicks, when running on the street, are you running with tubes and what PSI are you running?

Remember red beard! Its not IF the zip disk explodes.. its WHEN it explodes.. youtube aint gonna monetize that video lol
I like to use a Rotary saw or my mini Orbital saw with a blade that has a lot more teeth on it to cut fiber glass somethin fast so it don’t melt or leave you with them jagged edges kinda like what you used I was hopin you didn’t use a cuttin wheel lol
Make a top for it on hinges and safety locks
Is the 1k part a grill? Can't tell if it has a metal grill in the video. Some times looks like a sticker
