The amount of planning, payoffs and detail this short story has is on another level. From not drinking the 'tainted' whisky to then drinking it, the steel club comment to the discussion of a metal weapon, the curtains being closed to then the lights and eyes and 'spotlights' peeking through, my GOD I love Roald Dahl
What do you think of my idea for a sequel? Mary’s son Patrick finds out how his father actually died and contemplates on whether or not he should kill his mother the same way she killed his father.
@@huntercoleman460 That sounds awesome. Like how did he find out? Was mom at her death bed? Is the other woman from back in the day involved? So many possible twists and turns 👍🏻👍🏻
@@dorisbarkler8570 I imagine Patrick is 14 and Mary tells him when he comes home from school. Patrick is furious at his mother at first and then remembers his mom had lamb (his favorite meal) in the freezer. He ponders on doing it but the anger of not having a dad gets the best of him and he kills her the same way she killed her husband. In a way, Patrick pretty much avenged his father’s death.
Neat reading Lewis. I actually came up with a sequel. Mary’s son Patrick now a teenager, finds out how his father actually died and Patrick contemplates on whether or not he should do the same to his mother or should he tell the police on her. What do you think of my idea for a sequel?
Simple story, but versions on internet contain many errors. "... and she -say- very still through it all..." -> "sat" p/s: Sorry, I'm looking for horror short stories that are actually scary. Classic ones in Hitchcock can't scare 15 year old child. Can you recommend me some? Thank you a lot.

Try Roald Dahls pig or the Swan. You can find them both on the Roald Dahl playlist on my channel.
Uhm... Anyone know what does the sentence "get the weapon, and you've got the man" in this story mean? I can't figure out.
It basically means if you find the murder weapon, it's much easier to figure out who committed the crime.
And it's ironic because they ate the weapon that was suppose to help them
i didnt know that Mrs maloney would be so dark goodness
Thanks!
You are welcome 🙏
do you guys have any idea of what he said to his wife
??+
I think he said that he either cheated or that he is leaving her for the mistress
I supposed it’s left ambiguous deliberately- my first interpretation is that he’s looking for a divorce.
