Truly played in a Hungarian style with all the gusto. I adore the Russian appreciation of musicians in the giving of flowers. I wish that this was replicated more in Europe and the UK. The final dance is also my favourite and one I play. It was a recording of Kissin playing it that brought me to the piece. Bravo.
I think the 4-hands versions are often preferred. Evgeny Kissin has recorded several of these, although his interpretations of other, more widely-recorded Brahms pieces tend not to be my favorites, so I'd love to hear some other great pianists give it a shot. As for difficulty, each piece has a Henle score of either 7 or 8, so they're all well within the reach of most concert pianists.
nuanced! One can feel the dance underneath, romantic and playful. These are complicated piano pieces, and look so light and flowing.
Hats off to this sir, seeing the face of satisfaction of a passionate man it's one of the greatest marvels in this life.

Bravissimo !!!

la 6° danse hongroise "semble !" un jeu d'enfant Michel Prady
Curious why there aren't many more video recordings of these. Is it because they are too difficult?

Is'nt it the Cziffra's transcriptions of Hungarian dance ?
This is the original work of Brahms
чудесно!
❤💥👍👍👍
Learning no 6! (last one here) The left hand jumps are extremely difficult, even for one who is left handed!
I’ve been attempting them for ages and still can’t get them

lyrique, tour à tour expressif et (ou) rebondissant ; une belle aisance - à souligner
(à souligner) d'autant plus que la version (originale) de brahms la plus souvent jouée est la première version (à 4 mains) Michel Prady
I believed this is no. 1!
Sorry for my English, I'm from hungary.
It is because he plays six of the 21 dances. And your English is fine :)
