White-headed Woodpecker Couple is Back!

This is the same nest tree at Wrights Lake in the Sierra Nevada where I filmed a White-headed Woodpecker last July.
In the July video, you got to see the male removing a fecal sac from the nest.
When woodpeckers have nestlings, they usually enter and exit the nest quickly, dropping off food and removing debris, like fecal sacs, which are mucous membranes that contain nestling feces.
The couple this year is staying in the nest, which suggests that they are sitting on eggs.
I hope to visit this couple again later this month or next to track their progress.
