@@Cayden_pb04 I agree with you tbh. A lot of these trucks have rubber band tires and giant rims which means they probably get stuck on wet pavement. I personally like smaller rims and thicker sidewalls myself. Slammed trucks look cool too I’ve got to admit.
They can get drop kits fairly easily. Just email them and let them know what you are looking for. Worked with them on my truck and was able to purchase a 5/5 drop kit for my 95 S10 from McGoughy's through Custom Offsets
personally i built my truck as a street truck because it was the look i wanted. i wanted it to look clean low and wide. plus it looks aggressive af and its awesome having a truck that isn't lifted with MTs like everyone else. my truck is on 20x12 -51 275/45/20s stretched. no front torsion bolts and 3 inch drop shackles in the back. i love it!
Can you tow comfortably with your rear that low? I have an 02 that I just put 2” drop shackles on the rear and lowered the torsion bars some. It still has about 1” of rake so that way I don’t hit the bedsides when towing (20x10 -12 offset on 275/55’s, so 32x11.) I want to go lower but I just don’t know if I can throw a trailer or load up the bed with the back being that low
Street trucks are the best, anyone who can take a 5000+ pound box and make it keep up with just about any sports car or muscle car on the track or the STREET has accomplished a real special thing and anyone who doesn't understand that isn't a real truck guy. Keep up the good work Custom Offsets but if you do enter the lowered truck market be prepared to get into the performance and handling market also.
If I had fuck you money, I'd have 3 trucks in my garage. A lifted super duty toy hauler, a lifted midsize truck for the trails, and a slammed half ton daily driver street truck.
Ive got a 13 Silverado crew cab with a 4/6 drop with some 24 inch replica gm snowflakes, cowl hood, billet grille and billet inserts in the bumper, and 6.2 engine with TSP long tube headers and tuned with HP tuners. Very fun truck. Ive only had custom sport trucks. I love’em!!
2005 Chevy Silverado Single Cab 1500 4.7 L, V8 is getting a 6 in lift, rock lights, led lights, fender flares, tonneau bed cover, westin nerf bars, westin bumper, westin truck bed mat and k source replacement mirrors 👇
Gm is better than Ford And I’m making my 2011 Silverado 6.2L a street truck So I’m saving every penny I can through winter and when spring comes I will be buying rims tiers lift kit all from custom offsets
The HP of the 454 SS wasn't the big draw of it. It had almost 400 lbs/ft of torque at like 1500 RPM. It was light enough to rocket that truck to a 0-60 in around 8 seconds. Slow by today's standards somewhat but for a off the lot no power adders truck that's pretty quick if you ask me. 👊🍻 Been looking for one of these trucks for years and now they are pretty pricey because people realize the potential of them
I got a 1986 Chevy C-10 Silverado that I am going to be putting a LS ENGINE IN IT. it will be a street truck. This is my high school truck by the way. First truck
Currently in the process of turning my 11 coyote f150 into a street truck. So far all I've done is a K&N CAI, straight pipe dump (still have my cats) behind the cab and try to only run 85 in it. Next is a belltech lowering kit, SCT tuner with 5star tunes, Boss 302 intake, and headers.
@@CustomOffsetsTV Thankyou so much hope to get to that point before next summer, I live in Marinette so I may come to you guys for the lowering kit install! I'm originally from Crandon so that would've been a hike lol
I got one in the making. Been focused on performance before anything else starting with eibach level, fueling upgrades in tank/injectors, then the whipple, cai and lt5 throttle body. Before doing driveshaft and smaller pulley I'm mounting 20x10 -19 hostile sprocket/toyo st3's 305/50/20. Hoping it looks like what I'm imagining.
Finally my topic. Way may live in Wisconsin but hey have you guys been to the Midwest truck invasion. We got street trucks too. I own a 04 Silverado RST
Most of the trucks I see built with the 24 inch stage coach specials, and enough wheel offset to burn through hubs like Newport’s, look like an example of a rig that never sees anything but soccer practices and mall parking lots. Then again having a rig with huge wheels massive lift, and no correction for driveline angles, not only looks ridiculous but probably rides just as horribly as it looks. But you guys clean up well. What’s the old adage, a fool and his money. Personally I like a big tire and a 17 or 18 inch wheel. Not only does it ride very nice it doesn’t look absolutely retarded. Also minimum lift and largest tire you can fit with correct bump stops and shock travel is the way to go. Most of the full size trucks today are equipped to handle 33-35” tires with nearly no lift as long as you have correct back spacing and do some light trimming.
You are 100% correct big trucks. The patent shows the roll going over not under. That's the way the inventor of TP designed it. If the guy/gal who designed toilet paper says over, I'm going with over.
Let's be honest, 95% off trucks lifted or not are street trucks. No one is dropping good money on polished alloy wheels and expensive LEDs to scratch and break them on trails.

Lifted trucks that don't go off road are like a street truck in the mud.
Street trucks normally run between a 15-20 inch wheel anything bigger on a street truck is a little much
Depends on the size of the truck. The size of the wheel should be proportionate to the overall size of the vehicle.
