How is no one talking about the "go bigger" cat? So adorable! Also, I'm so glad that the other cat wasn't hurt. I know they can survive big falls, but with the tiered seats below, it would have been unlikely it wasn't seriously injured if not killed. Those people who caught it were amazing. ❤️🐈❤️

The clouds at the end of the video are called noctilucent clouds, Latin for Night Shining clouds. They're the highest known type of cloud that can form, made of ice particles that form 80 kilometers in the air. You might be able to see them if you're in latitudes of 50 - 75 from May to August about an hour or so after sunset/before sunrise, though they're a little rare :)

It's actually the in-between heights that are most dangerous for them. Ones where it's not so short of a fall that there's no danger, but also not high enough for them to spread out and slow their fall.
You can throw a cat from high up in the sky and they'll be fine (please don't try it though), but a few stories or from a balcony like that, and there's a chance of them breaking bones, etc.

Fun fact, cats have a "non-lethal terminal velocity". As long as the fall far enough, they won't die.
However, the distance required to achieve this is from jumping off the top of a 7-story building, anything lower will certainly result in injury or even death, but anything higher allows them to reach this.

Fun(?) fact: That short moment when the cat is flailing around in the air before splaying out its legs is the most dangerous part of the fall. Once a healthy cat has twisted itself upright and spreads out like that, it can't achieve a high enough terminal velocity to seriously hurt itself as long as the surface it lands on is sufficiently flat. It'd get bruised, maybe crack a rib or so, but it would survive and be able to walk away. It's usually only during those first couple of meters, after it's picked up speed but before it's had time to orient itself, that a cat is in danger of being seriously hurt from a fall. I can't imagine this one would have found a suitable place to land in those stands, though, so I'm glad those people could help it!
Cats reach terminal velocity after about 5 stories. Also cats can very much hurt themselves after terminal velocity. There is a 90% survival rate for cats at terminal velocity. We can assume that plenty of injuries happen in those percentages. I think you are thinking of a squirrel.
The terminal velocity of a cat in that position is about 60 mph. That’s more than enough for a lethal fall. If falls weren’t dangerous, cats wouldn’t be afraid of them.

The Clouds at the end are called Shimmering Clouds, it happens once a year. The sun is so far north, you can see it to the North of Canada. I have a few cool pictures of this, as a trucker I get to see alot of beautiful skys
I know theese as noctilucent clouds. And in germany the posibility for seeing theese goes from May to August

2:28 - those are called noctilucent clouds. They are so high up in the atmosphere that sunlight reflects off them and down to the viewer, even though the sun is well below the horizon at ground level. That's why they light up like that.

We're fans of the "River Crossing" events, using snowmobiles to cross the Fox River near us. It's a Spring ritual, clears out all the winter salt and gunk before storing the sled. Many don't make it, and floats are attached to the seat rail to mark where they went down; they're retrieved after the event. If they sink, it's no big deal as the motors are removed and cleared out before being stored for the summer. Some couples will enter, dressed in suits and fine dresses, and it's a great time for all.
