  • Hello everyone, this is YOUR Daily Dose of Internet. In this video, this barber has a scary situation.

    Also in this video, a guy thought climbing without ropes or gear was a good idea. A tortoise that hates the color black. A dog was absolutely terrified of fake cats. A professional stunt driver made the fastest garbage can ever made. A bunch of shy dogs hang out with each other. Scientists have created a device that can help paralyzed people walk again.

I've heard of people surviving large falls, and there exists the "sports" of parachuting, bungee jumping, and high diving into pools, so I want to clarify if it was a deadly fall, or a controled, survived fall. Again, I apologize if this is insensitive, and if this is bringing up bad memories. You don't have to give any details, aside from answering the following question: Did they survive? Yes or no?

  • @GhostBranchFPV
    @GhostBranchFPV ปีที่แล้ว +3810

    To all the barbers out there who are watching this video because worried friends sent it to you: No need to be alarmed, your shaving machines wont't cause what you see in this video. This is Raynaud's syndrome. The condition occurs because blood vessels go into a temporary spasm, which blocks the flow of blood. This causes the affected area to change colour to white, then blue and then red, as the bloodflow returns. When you suffer from Raynaud's disease, this is usually triggered by cold temperatures, anxiety or stress. If you don't have this disease, the only way to lose a finger from shaving is if you're clumsy af, in which case you probably shouldn't run a barbershop.

      Sorry, but you are incorrect. You’re about 90% right in what you said, but you are missing that Raynaud’s Syndrome can also be caused by mechanical vibration. We studied it in university in Human Factors Engineering, it is a potential hazard of using tools with excessive vibration / insufficient safeguards (like anti-vibration gloves, etc.). You can also see that referenced under Causes on the Wikipedia article for the condition (and no I didn’t just write that section to try and win a TH-cam comment haha). Cheers bud.

    0:20 I think that's method acting, when I was in drama/stage acting we would take groups and find places to act just like this. The director would take notes and grade us on performance and instruct us on mistakes, its also best to have a light script and back story on the character you try to play. idk just me though :P

    That first video is not actually specific to only people using vibrating tools although that is very common. It also can happen to people for seemingly no reason this is called Raynaud's disease/Raynaud's syndrome and causes some areas of the body such as fingers and toes to feel numb and cold in response to cold temperatures or stress. In Raynaud's disease, smaller arteries that supply blood to the skin narrow. This limits the blood flow to affected areas, which is called vasospasm. Its a pretty common disease which can be related to other health disorders but in some people it's unknown why it happens their isn't really a cure for it and in some people it persists their entire lifetime.just thought I'd shed some light into this!

      He doesn't even mention the best part of the technology. The process of sending the signals happens to stimulate a specific nerve in the spine that rebuilds connections. Patients who have been using the tech for a while have regained some ability to control their limbs, even without the technology. The hope is once we learn more about why the tech helps regenerate the spinal cord, that we will actually CURE paralysis. With their test on mice, while not the majority, it has already been the case.

    The cat path also applies to dogs. I had a dog that did the exact same thing, followed the same path around the side of the house. When he passed and we got a new dog several years later, she did the same thing, and subsequent dogs did it as well without any prompting. The reason we think is because the path followed the roofline of the house, and when it rained, the water cut a divot into the dirt where there were no gutters. The end result was a smooth, water-worn path free of rocks and debris that probably felt nice to the dogs’ paws.

      @@jeremo2085 hi! I studied animal behavior as a minor of my biology degree in university and we learned about this trait. Lots, dare i say most animals do this, and its not pheromones or anything relating to scent. Its a case of simple energetics. By wearing down a "game trail" animals exert less energy over time when covering the same distance as the more the trail is used, the less plants and other obstacles grow up making it easier and quicker to travel along. Hope this makes sense!
