Great review guys!!! My wife and I love Mona Lisa’s and we’ve been going there for years. My favorite is the spicy Italian Special, but I have them add fresh mozzarella. Now I’m going to have to wait more of your reviews. 😎
@mostpalone6444 it's all because you recommended us to! Thank you for the recommending it! We loved it so much. POMAs is on our list now too. That video will come one day soon!
@@TheSandwichSnobs this is why you guys are awesome. Also, you’ve opened my eyes to a few places in the 760 area code. I know you guys will enjoy Poma’s. Can’t wait to see the episode. Keep up the great content!
A local sando channel?! I'm in. Please try out: The Wise Ox, Ike's, Big Front Door, Park Blvd Deli, and Olive Tree Market in OB! You've tried the rest now try the best.
Probably a little far south, but Beyer Deli on Beyer Blvd, in San Ysidro area. Mom and pop shop in an industrial area but the New Yorker sandwich is insane.
if you guys are ever in the lake forest/laguna hills area try the FRENCH DIP at Moe's Deli. I'm not a big french dip fan but this thing is supreme (I get double meat and extra au jus). The bread they use is similar to bahn mi roll... its a must try.
co-sign.... I'm a HUGE fan of Italian sandwiches and I've had them everywhere I've been. The subs here the best I've had outside of New York. The bread is the difference IMO
@@danielrathbun8380 that toasted sesame torpedo is by far the flavor that adds the authentic taste of east coast delis. Mona Lisa's is definitely going to be hard to top!
Make your way up to Santa Monica and do Bay Cities Italian Deli. Even though Mona Lisa is good, Bay Cities will be even better… the Godfather and the Hot Pastrami are my go tos. I am a UCLA grad and live in San Diego, so know both places personally.
Oh that is some bold words! lol We will add Bay Cities to our list and when we do an LA trip, we will make sure to stop there. Thank you for the recommendations!
The number 5 at Mona Lisa is sensational.
The Number 5 at Mona Lisa is definitely a fan favorite!
When I worked over on kettner and laurel, I would get a Mona Lisa's on Tuesday and a Grab & Go, just down grape st. on Friday😊
Glad we can get you to reminisce!
I used to work in the neighborhood in the mid seventy’s and we would eat there a couple times a week 14:47
How often do you go back for a bite to eat?
About time. 😆 Sandwiches looked DELICIOUS!
Safe Journey!
Have a GREAT DAY!!!
Haha! Sometimes we need a little break to work off all those carbs we eat!

We will try not to keep you waiting too long! This seems to be the thing at Mona Lisa's, adding the fresh mozz! We will have to try that again soon!!
Doesn't matter what you order at Mona Lisa it's a 10 everytime! The best ever!
@@matthewsappington4132 Mikey Sandwich went there last week without me! He said it was still mindblowing.
Yes!! So glad to finally see you guys at Mona Lisa! You guys are killin’ it as always!

Thats not too far! if the food is worth it, then we will go!
I doubt it ~ hardly! South Bay really doesn't have any good eats ~ especially DELI😮😢 !

That isnt too far from us! We would definitely try that one day! I added it to our deli list.
@@TheSandwichSnobs hell yeah! I look forward to the review because ITS GOOD
This popped up on my time-line today and what do you know my son was just texted me and he's at Mona Lisa's grabbing a sandwich

Mona L I sa much BETTER 😮😊
A great Italian sandwich doesn't have mustard, mayo AND oil & vinegar.
You would think that! But it absolutely works here.
The bread ruins it. Its too hard. They use a different bakery now and no more ciabatta or focaccia which was the way to go before.
@1302inc we can see why people wouldn't like it. But to be honest... we loved the bread. We like crunchy, though, so that's just our preference
Never even showed the front of the place....😞
@@deeser286 we kinda did haha
The meat to everything else ratio looks too low.
You would think that, but the meats are so flavorful and the produce plus other toppings is just perfect. Nothing wrong with these subs at all.
Check out Rock n' Jenny's Italian Subs
yep! and POMA's in OB!
@@yeapstab we have been there but haven't Snobbed it yet! We will get there soon for a video! I'll move that one up the list for you guys 😁
@@larrymee1484 youre the second one to say this. So we are adding POMAs to the list now!
Temecula rock n jennys location is terrible now. Don't know what changed.
