There is an important channel announcement at the end of this video. Also I think I accidentally scheduled this video to go public 12 hours earlier than I intended lol. Explains the unusual upload time.
Definitely a better option than Qantas while QF is inclusive with food and beverage unlike ANZ where you have to purchase a works package ANZ I feel is much more comfortable as far as legroom and aesthetics in the cabin. I have flown on the A321 Neo also flown their premium products business and premium economy trans tasman. There are a few fifth freedom flights from Auckland to Australia which are also great products from China Airlines BNE to AKL CES SYD AKL and Latam. Great review :)
I actually took Qantas on the opposite route 3 days after this (the video that will be uploaded next) on a B737. And I agree with you that Air New Zealand is the better option. About the fifth freedom flights, Qantas itself also has one. It goes New York-Auckland-Sydney (in both directions). Given the poor legroom and inflight entertainment on the Qantas 737 I would have rather taken that fifth freedom one, as it uses the 787. Thanks for watching!
How's passport control for entering and visiting Sydney, did you take the train or uber to the hotel, do you remember what's the name of the hotel you stay, including the price for how many nights and enjoy your trip?
Passport control was okay. Just be aware that you are gonna have to declare certain types of items like food, outdoor equipment, etc. if you have them. I took a bus to the hotel.
I see, is it automated or passport control officer ask you a question, purpose of visit? Visiting new city and country for the 1st time for vacation. Same if your going and visit Taipei, super strict to bring food, even in Australia, it's not hazardous, dangerous food (not dangerous) and even good healthy food is still prohibited? In some countries like the US, there is staff at customs, but they don't check if you bring something for food, it's for me and my family, sometimes for left over, will eat in the hotel or at home. I see.
@@kevin19358 I don't remember completely, but I THINK the passport control part was automated (I may not remember correctly though keep in mind). For the food safety check, they had actual people check your bags (in a similar style to a security check). I don't know what types of foods are prohibited, what I do know is that if you have ANY food, you need to declare it on a form they give you before landing. Not really sure what is forbidden and what is not though.
Wait, you live in Los Angeles to study high school and college, how does it like to live in Los Angeles and are you okay to live there? I heard it's not safe to walk alone at night, homeless and noisy lightlife, even overnight like 1 to 2am, still playing loud music.
@@kevin19358 This wasn't my last flight before college. It was the last trip report I had time to edit before college. I can only edit them during breaks.

Please don't be sorry! Goodluck with college and I really hope you enjoy it. Take all the time you need!
Thank you!

hi did you check in a bag. Were they strict with the baggage weight. How was the overall flight experience from one to ten?
@@duaneowens7777 Yeah they do it for free. I gave the score at the end of the video: 9.1/10.

I don't live in LA. The LAX-AKL-SYD weren't the only stops on this trip.
Oh. I see. But your said you couldn't travel because of your college. Your studying college in Australia?

I see. Nice. Are you traveling on new year's eve and day or staying home spending 2025 in Australia?
@ for personal reasons I don’t directly mention where I live. But I don’t live in Australia. This video was the only time I ever travelled there.
